Job Summary and Qualifications
GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
In support of the Provider Relations department within the Urgent Care Service Line, the Provider Operations Manager leads and supports team of Provider Liaisons to ensure timely onboarding of providers, minimal payor enrollment risk, and state compliance in relation to APP supervision. The Manager of Provider Operations will actively engage with market and medical leadership to strategize, deploy and execute on provider retention and engagement strategies.
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Partners closely with market and medical leadership indirect reports on all strategies related to provider onboarding, retention, and training as applicable
Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders (i.e. HCI, HR, PE, market leaders)
Hire, train, and manage Urgent Care Provider Liaison Specialist team
Act as interim Provider Liaison Specialist as needed and support the management of acquisition provider files if applicable
Conduct performance evaluations for UC Provider Liaison Specialist team
Provide oversight and direction for UC Provider Liaison Specialist team, ensuring standardization and best practice
Communicate standards and processes related to provider onboarding, credentialing, and payor enrollment
Conduct regular reoccurring team calls and maintain team communication platforms ensuring best practice is identified and scaled
Revise and maintain training documents and work flow sheets for provider liaison teams
Develop and monitor UC Provider Liaison performance metrics
Review reporting tools to identify trends related to provider onboarding delays and develop resolutions
Seek opportunities for process improvement and efficiency related to provider onboarding, credentialing, and enrollment
Collaborate with Central Billing Office Provider Enrollment Managers to mitigate payor enrollment risk and remove barriers
Maintain current knowledge and act as subject matter expert of applicable state laws with relation to APP supervision
Partner with regional medical leadership and market operations on executing provider retention strategies and provider retention playbook Support provider recruitment strategies as applicable
Support market and medical leadership on provider meeting best practices, content, organizational development, tracking
Support the development of market and medical leadership on provider communications as applicable
Support the development and scaling of Advance Practice Provider training program deployment as applicable
Ensure compliance with applicable state laws with relation to APP supervision ratios and documentation requirements
Collaborate with Quality and Legal departments to develop and maintain supervision documents
EDUCATION:
EXPERIENCE:
Equivalent combination of education and/or experience consists of in depth and up to date knowledge of healthcare administration typically acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's degree in a business or healthcare related discipline
Relevant experience in provider onboarding and provider enrollment and credentialing are preferred
Supervisory experience preferred
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:
TRAVEL: 10%
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Skilled in establishing effective working relationships with providers, service line leaders, direct reports and HCA departments
Supervisory skills including hiring and performance management for direct reports
High level of proficiency with MS Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of physician office practice or urgent care center operations highly preferred
Effective problem-solving skills to include data analysis and preparing reports (proficiency with Excel and Power Point desirable).
