Northrop Grumman Space Systems designs, builds and delivers space, defense and aviation-related systems to customers around the world. Our main products include launch vehicles and related propulsion systems; missile products, subsystems and defense electronics; precision weapons, armament systems and ammunition; satellites and associated space components and services; and advanced aerospace structures.

Northrup Grumman is currently seeking a Manager Project Management II to lead a team of production planners in the support of manufacturing and integration at the Launch Vehicle Division facility in Chandler, AZ.

Job Description:

Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support program needs and ensure compliance to all documented technical manuals and procedures

  • Provide leadership and implement process and procedure changes in support of strategic initiatives

  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous process improvement

  • Maintain and cultivate a culture of inclusion by valuing diversity

  • Collaborate and build strong cross functional relationships with key business relationships

  • Manage introductions of improved planning tools (MRP, MPS)

  • Actively engage in employee training, development, mentoring and coaching

  • Create and maintain departmental processes and procedures

  • Create and maintain a departmental training plan

  • Maintain performance metrics which drive positive change in the organization

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, or other Business Related degree and minimum of 10 years applicable manufacturing/business related experience and education,

  • Solid understanding of MRP fundamentals

  • Proficient with MS office suite

  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance

  • Prior leadership experience

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Experience with Costpoint Deltek and Cognos a plus

Job Description Silicon Product Development - Principal Project Manager (New Product Development Lead) Job Description: The candidate will be a member of Microchip's Wireless Solutions Group. As a key leader within the team, the Principal Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating the activities of multiple functional disciplines on complex wireless silicon development projects. This position is critical to overall product success, ensuring all quality, performance, business, and functional requirements are met. Responsibilities: * Manage complex SoC Wireless Projects from initial product definition through final release to production. * Lead the New Product Development Team consisting of senior team members from multiple disciplines. * Coordination of cross-functional team activities throughout the project lifecycle. Some examples include: * Initial customer requirements gathering with Marketing and Applications Teams * Product definition with Architecture, Marketing, and Project Sponsor * Review of technical specifications with SoC Design, Wireless IP, and Architecture Teams * Setting common system emulation targets with Firmware and SoC Design Teams * Establishing clear project milestones across all functional teams * Overall project scheduling with functional team leads and leading regular reviews * Clarification of interdependencies between teams so issues can be quickly resolved. * Periodically define and lead "Tiger" teams to quickly solve critical issues. * Proactive notification of the Senior Management Team when issues beyond your control arise. * Participate in continuous improvement activities with other New Product Development Teams Job Requirements Requirements: * 10+ years in a technical/engineering role within the semiconductor industry * 5+ years managing technical teams either as a direct supervisor or a project manager * Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or similar engineering field * Recent Project Management experience preferred, but not required * Solid interpersonal skills, ability to lead a multi-discipline team through influence * Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
