Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Missile Defense & Protective Systems Division is seeking a Counter-Hypersonics / Space Layer Campaign Manager to join our team of missile defense professionals. This position will be located in Colorado Springs, CO (primary), Boulder CO, Baltimore MD, or Huntsville AL (secondary).
The Campaign Manager will provide leadership, program management, strategy development, business development support, and customer interface for a portfolio focused on future missile defense capabilities related to the Missile Defense Space Layer and counter-hypersonic threats. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading geographically diverse teams from across Northrop Grumman, identifying customer needs and translating NG capabilities and solutions into innovative offerings. Candidate will be responsible for coordination and collaboration with several different functional areas.
Manage and understand cost estimates, business plans, work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms and conditions of contracts.
Plan and execute capture/contract activities, including ad-hoc projects, studies and analyses, and material purchases
Maintain cognizance of operational issues and adjust activities to maximize mission success while ensuring capture/contract activities are completed in a time manner
Develop and maintain customer relationships. Process feedback and adjust support to customer needs.
Report project status, customer satisfaction, risk and mitigations, earned value, and operational events
Support/manage proposal efforts
Participate in Long Range Strategic Planning
Identify and support other organic growth opportunities
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or related field and 10 years' experience with Defense contracting.
Excellent at written and oral communications.
Possess a strong ability to establish and develop inter-personal relationships.
Program management and/or business development experience.
Current DoD Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a SCI clearance.
Must be able to work independently, function in a fast paced environment, and be flexible to changing direction.
Must have experience in planning, organizing, staffing, reporting, coordination, identifying/managing risk, and support all phases of a sustainment project from inception through completion.
Experience in missile defense, sensors, space and/or hypersonics and prior working relationships with MDA, the USAF, and/or the intelligence community.
Background in in Integrated Air and Ballistic Missile Defense / Space or other comparable DoD system of systems programs.
Experience managing and coordinating across geographically separated teams.
Proposal preparation and leadership experience.
Travel: Up to 50% of the time
