Job OverviewProcurement role which combines both Sourcing and Contracts. This position establishes savings goals and leads negotiations, drafts and administers various complex supply and service type agreements and associated amendments.

Ability to create very detailed sourcing strategies and presenting to executive management for approval. Strong experience with various design and test equipment categories. Knowledge of the global supplier landscape and opportunities for optimal supply chain decisions.

Leads and settles complex and various business agreements. Highly skilled drafter, strategic thinker. Excellent with collaboration techniques.

This role is considered an expert in the commodity. This position proactively seeks additional responsibility and leadership opportunities. IT Procurement Asset Specialist (Contract) This position is for a 12-month temporary engagement through our staffing partner Yoh Services. San Diego, CA (Rancho Bernardo) The IT Procurement/Asset Specialist Contractor -ensures that the items and services to build and maintain our departmental products are purchased from specified suppliers and are delivered according to agreed terms and conditions. An important aspect of this role is seeking maximum value for the company through time and cost agreements while working with technology for all support teams. Responsibilities: * Interfaces with Support Teams to plan and prioritize purchasing activities * Reviews planned orders, creates requisitions for purchased items, and manages approval process * Transmits and prioritizes approved purchase orders and supporting documents to supplier * Tracks order acknowledgement, prepares and communicates shortage and backlog reports, and provides visibility of potential interruptions to internal customers * Tracks orders and confirms system lead times, delivery dates, and costs * Reviews, updates, and maintains purchase orders until they are closed * Identifies opportunities and implements actions to achieve efficiencies * Responsible for the management of hardware and software tracking, assistance with procurement and assurance of comprehensive asset management processes and systems throughout asset lifecycle * Responsible for developing, documenting, and managing IT business processes associated with hardware and software asset & licensing management * Assistance with the implementation of an asset management tool and processes * Coordinate and assist with the execution of virtual or physical audits of all IT hardware and software * Assist in license reconciliation and true-up processes * Assist with the safe and secure disposal of assets in compliance * Document Request within the IT Case management System Qualifications: * Experience in the management of hardware and software procurement and asset management processes and systems throughout ITAM lifecycle * Experience developing, documenting, and managing IT business processes associated with asset & license management * Experience conducting audits * Hands-on experience reconciling hardware and software asset audit findings * Experience or knowledge of enterprise software asset management tool * Knowledge of documentation retained to support the value and custody of assets * Experience developing, documenting, and managing IT business processes associated with asset & license management * Experience creating and delivering reports to management * Experience in IT ticket management * Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills required Sony is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
