Reporting to the Director of Talent and Organizational Design, this Manager role is responsible for developing and sustaining a talent acquisition strategy to acquire a diverse pool of top industry talent to achieve the company's aggressive hiring needs.
The Manager of Talent Acquisition will be a part of delivering end to end recruiting support and success throughout Electric Boat. In this role, the Manager will be responsible for partnering directly with internal and external stakeholders to ensure hiring targets are achieved backed by measurable results. This position is responsible for hiring at multiple sites, managing a high volume hiring team with a hiring volume upwards of 3,000 hires a year. The successful candidate in this role will work with HR business areas to support and deliver top talent through the EB enterprise. A key requirement of this role is application of traditional workforce sourcing strategies as well as creating an environment that requires team members to focus on improving future and current Applicant Tracking System capabilities. The ability to think strategically and support process improvement initiatives to support business needs is necessary to be successful in this position.
This team is responsible for building effective internal client relationships and management of leadership expectations at all levels. The Manager of Talent Acquisition will also support external client relationships with our Workforce Development Boards and will work closely with our internal workforce development team to prepare our workforce for future growth. Having the ability to drive a hiring strategy in a fast paced environment will be important for the selected candidate. This position will support all levels of professional internal and external staffing across all of Electric Boat and its site locations. Hiring demand expands across all fields including professionals, engineering, trades, and all levels of management.
In addition to the above this role will also be responsible for the following:
Identify and implement various recruiting methods and channels to drive applicant flow (online job ad campaigns, direct sourcing, internal referrals, social media etc.).
Assess and review talent pools for key growth areas within Electric Boat, including developing and maintaining a Veterans and Diversity recruiting strategy, providing direction to Recruiters on prioritizing staffing needs and maintaining close alignment with key internal customers.
Owns the recruiting process and ATS effectiveness to support those processes.
Develop and present hiring projections, trend analysis and associated metrics to various audiences including executives and the customer.
Executing a successful high school and college Relations recruiting strategy and internship program.
Collaborate with peers, business leaders, and HR to increase the overall capabilities of the Talent Acquisition department.
Lead a team of Supervisors, Staffing Representatives, Sourcers and Coordinators, providing specific individual career development paths for direct reports, create a positive "can-do" work culture, and deliver results that add value to the business.
Assessing data trends and monitoring Talent Acquisition best practices will be important to strengthen a culture of diversity and inclusion throughout the enterprise.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or equivalent
10+ years of experience related to high-volume recruiting and staffing with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity
Strong proficiency in recruiting technologies such as Applicant Tracking Systems, sourcing tools, Social Media
Strong proficiency in developing, analyzing and presenting metrics associated with hiring across the entire hiring lifecycle.
MBA or Master's Degree in Human Resources or equivalent
Knowledge of iCIMS, LinkedIn, Glassdoor
Previous leadership experience
Experience translating staffing and recruiting data and analytics to develop insights, driving hiring and forecasting decisions and measuring business impact.
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in resourcing strategies, strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
Interpersonal experience with developing relationships with peers and leaders across an organization.
