Job Summary

Working as a Regional Marketing Manager, you are responsible for marketing initiatives at client accounts. Additionally, you will be responsible for the following:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops campaigns to increase awareness

  • Presents Company programs to clients

  • Coordinates publicity for the Company

  • Develops brochures and print media about the Company

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing preferred

  • Minimum of three years marketing experience preferred

  • Ability to present to large groups

  • Knowledge of merchandising and promotions

  • Excellent writing skills

Esterline Control and Communication Systems is comprised of seven wholly-owned subsidiaries of Esterline. Our product and service brands include: AVISTA® software and systems engineering services; KORRY® cockpit display and control products; MASON™ flight controls; RACAL Acoustics® military headsets, and PALOMAR products for secure communications systems, Our operations are located in Platteville, WI; Everett, WA; Sylmar, CA; Harrow, UK; and Rancho Santa Margarita, CA. The Director, Marketing Communications is a key member of the Esterline Control and Communication Systems (ECCS) management team, overseeing the platform's worldwide external communications. This role works closely with the ECCS sales team to grow the business in accordance with platform strategies by developing, managing, and implementing plans to promote and differentiate the Esterline Control and Communication Systems brand images. This role collaborates with the sales team to win new business, the product management team to collaborate on promotional strategies, along with other departments and locations to maximize profitable growth opportunities. This role acts in a lead capacity to direct the management of these functions. * The ideal candidate for this role will have global aerospace manufacturing industry experience * What You Will Do * Oversees development and coordination of all marketing communications programs to promote the sale of ECCS products and services, and further the growth objectives * Supports strategic planning processes and aligns marketing programs with five year plan * Evaluates, recommends, plans, and executes appropriate promotional activities, including web marketing, trade show participation, social media, public relations, videos, direct marketing, advertising, brochures, etc. * Manages make/buy decisions for Marketing Communications projects based on budget, workload, quality, and delivery; evaluates and manages vendors to execute promotional activities * Creates appropriate marketing communications messaging by using creative design and writing to effectively represent the platform brands and the organization to external audiences * Collaborates with other departments to develop and execute promotional strategies in support of sales and product plans * Oversees product sample library, working with product managers to ensure products are functioning properly and meet export control standards * Manages platform's external website and its messaging, within corporate guidelines * Plans and manages the ECCS Marketing Communication budget and ensures its proper management, reporting, and execution * Stays current on the latest marketing trends within our industries to ensure our tools remain relevant and fresh * Collaborates regularly with Esterline corporate communications staff and serves as platform subject matter expert for corporate promotional initiatives * Works on promotional projects with corporate staff as required * Works on the ECCS internal communications materials such as the quarterly platform newsletter, The Signal, A Strategic Vision for the Future brochure, and the President's Award for Innovation brochure * Manages and develops a team of direct reports * Brings critical thinking skills to assess and advocate for effective messaging * Ensures compliance to Department of Commerce Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and Department of State International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) * Maintains the highest ethical standards, even when challenged from above * Understands and lives by Esterline's ethics and business conduct policies What You Will Bring: * Requires a Bachelor's degree in Communications or Public Relations. Advanced degree preferred. * 10+ years of experience in marketing communications * Must have Marketing Communications experience in aerospace, aviation or defense industry * Experience working with global teams * Familiarization with design and graphics programs * Recognized expertise in social, competitive and collaborative marketing, communications and public relations methods and approaches * Experience with product/technical marketing in aerospace and/or manufacturing strongly preferred * Strong experience with creating presentations for internal and external audiences * Experience with Prezi a plus * Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office programs – Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word * Experience with vendor management for the creation of graphic design and technical writing and trade shows * Proven ability to create and manage marketing analytics, metrics, dashboard and other measurements * Demonstrated strength in data-based decision-making, analysis, influencing and storytelling * Proven change management experience in leading with clarity, generating energy and delivering success * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Outstanding planning and organizational skills, including ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects for multiple internal customers * Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required, up to 20% Equal Opportunity Employer Minority/Female/Disability/Protected Vet Esterline Technologies Corp Everett WA
