Job Summary/Purpose:

Responsible for leading product strategy, management and delivery of Automated Technologies including Robotics Process Automation (RPA), Cognitive Computing and Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions. The IT Manager will strategically innovate, develop, and lead the implementation of new end to end process technology resulting in robust, sustainable, integration of automation technologies.

This position will collaborate with the various SVB business units to implement automation technologies to create efficiency and reduce cycle time and errors in SVB's critical business processes. This role will also extend the product to solve our business's most challenging use cases by building internal development skills to integrate a wide variety of systems with automation technology. This role will serve as the technology leader for the Automation Governance Forum and help shape the direction, decisions and frameworks in definition and deployment of the RPA capabilities across the enterprise.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership in the automation development strategy for the organization. Chart and implement RPA journeys from an existing initial implementation to a robust scalable model. Plan and direct strategic activities including prioritizing and selecting appropriate projects with overall responsibility for meeting business objectives.

  • Develop a technology roadmap and strategy for automation technologies, in coordination with Enterprise Architecture, to build new capabilities. Create release plans to support automation technology strategy/roadmap.

  • Establish a Center of Expertise (COE) that will design solutions utilizing RPA technology best practices and maintain technical responsibility for development and deployment of the capability. Develop a robust talent development and succession planning in alignment with functional growth strategies.

  • Employ a customer-centric approach and lead a cross-discipline team through the design, development, and QA aspects of multiple agile RPA projects.

  • Manage and develop the talent on their team, including engagement, well-being, and IDP creation, refining, and execution, with the goal of building and maintaining a high-performing team.

  • Oversee various responsibilities of project initiatives until the project is delivered and deployed successfully and be accountable for the operational robustness of the capability. Ensure compliance with all project deployment methodologies, internal standards, and operational guidelines to enable automated technologies team to support and maintain all solutions per stated service level agreements.

  • Build strong relationships with internal IT Program Managers, Enterprise Architecture (EA), Facilities, and Infrastructure Service Delivery Managers to ensure coordination across multiple products.

  • Build strong customer relationships with business units to understand their immediate pain points, long term plans and IT capability gaps. Attend regular business meeting to provide IT updates including project status, major IT initiatives and support status.

  • Provide resource planning and management within HR/Finance applications projects. Forecast potential bottlenecks or gaps based on future demand expectations.

Minimum requirements:

Minimum education required of the position

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. Advanced degree preferred.

Minimum experience required of the position
7+ years of managing application development and/or operational processes.

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

Strong working knowledge of software development lifecycle and methodologies, demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams, experience in project delivery in highly outsourced environments, and in depth knowledge of multiple technologies aligned with IT standards. Knowledge of all areas of the applications listed above.
