Job Designation

The Industrial Engineering Manager leads the Industrial Engineering / Continuous Improvement Team to ensure production efficiency while aligning strategic goals and tasks with company policies and procedures. Participates in decision making that will have a significant impact on the sustaining and growth efforts of the Operation.

Job Core Responsibilities

  • Leads and directs the Industrial Engineering Team to obtain optimum productivity while reaching strategic goals

  • Oversees continuous improvement activities and team members to reach business goals and budget

  • Ensures that resources are utilized effectively and drives improvements

  • Reduces costs and improves manufacturing yields using best practices and professional knowledge

  • Mentors and oversees technical and professional development of the Continuous Improvement team

  • Develops, implements and continuously improves policies, standards and procedures

  • Leads and directs work for team of employees as defined by business needs

  • Manages staff selection, performance, development and training processes to ensure team competencies and capabilities to reach the business goals and expectations

  • Other responsibilities as assigned

  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance

  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary

Job Specifications

Education: Bachelor degree in Engineering required

Years' Experience: 15+ years of relevant engineering experience

Skills:

  • Strong ability to lead, plan and direct the Continuous Improvement Team

  • Demonstrated lean manufacturing expertise, and ability to improve processes or services by applying professional and business knowledge

  • Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize with changing situations

  • Solid analytical skills and judgment to proactively identify and solve increasingly complex problems

  • Proficient with applying Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement process and tools

  • Demonstrated use of the latest technology to enhance the growth of an organization

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to drive tasks to completion

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP and Kronos knowledge a plus

Provides solutions to problems in situations that are atypical or infrequently occurring based on existing precedents or procedures. Job Core Responsibilities * Provides support to the Engineering function by performing routine engineering and developmental testing * Provides data, information, and support to Engineering teams * Creates and utilizes spreadsheets and databases; performs screening and analyzing of data * Troubleshoots electronics or electro-mechanical systems * Assists with tasks to accomplish engineering business improvement objectives * Provides Input and maintains, extracts, manipulates and analyzes key performance indicators * Other responsibilities as assigned * Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required.
