The Industrial Engineering Manager leads the Industrial Engineering / Continuous Improvement Team to ensure production efficiency while aligning strategic goals and tasks with company policies and procedures. Participates in decision making that will have a significant impact on the sustaining and growth efforts of the Operation.
Job Core Responsibilities
Leads and directs the Industrial Engineering Team to obtain optimum productivity while reaching strategic goals
Oversees continuous improvement activities and team members to reach business goals and budget
Ensures that resources are utilized effectively and drives improvements
Reduces costs and improves manufacturing yields using best practices and professional knowledge
Mentors and oversees technical and professional development of the Continuous Improvement team
Develops, implements and continuously improves policies, standards and procedures
Leads and directs work for team of employees as defined by business needs
Manages staff selection, performance, development and training processes to ensure team competencies and capabilities to reach the business goals and expectations
Other responsibilities as assigned
Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary
Education: Bachelor degree in Engineering required
Years' Experience: 15+ years of relevant engineering experience
Strong ability to lead, plan and direct the Continuous Improvement Team
Demonstrated lean manufacturing expertise, and ability to improve processes or services by applying professional and business knowledge
Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize with changing situations
Solid analytical skills and judgment to proactively identify and solve increasingly complex problems
Proficient with applying Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement process and tools
Demonstrated use of the latest technology to enhance the growth of an organization
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to drive tasks to completion
Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP and Kronos knowledge a plus
