Job Description:
RVS is seeking a Leader to manage RVS' Supplier Quality group.
Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) reports to the Supplier Quality Manager; this group provides supplier development support, quality development and oversight of suppliers, supplier risk assessment, and various other tasks related to supplier performance excellence.
The Receiving Inspection and Test (RIT) group also reports to the Supplier Quality Manager.
Supplier Quality's vision is to support RVS production operations and mission assurance by assuring compliant material is received at a predictable cost and schedule, while lowering the overall product life-cycle cost.
In addition to managing and staffing the SQE and RIT functions, the Supplier Quality Manager will develop, maintain, and streamline processes and metrics governing RIT and Supplier Quality functions.
They provide cross-business unit collaboration within the corporation to foster enterprise-wide solutions.
The Supplier Quality Manager is the RVS Point of Contact for SAS Supplier Quality, and interface frequently with the director of SAS Supplier Quality and the greater SAS Mission Assurance community.
In addition, they interface with the various RVS factories and organizations supporting production and developmental material through RIT.
They monitor, control, and improve part throughput, efficiency, and forecasting through RIT and SMC (Suspended Material Control). They also oversee procurement of equipment (both overhead and capital) in support of RIT operations.
The Supplier Quality Manager will also provide direct support of programs, including SQE tasks, Failure Review Boards, and participation as a Change Control Board (CCB) member.
The SQ Manager will provide leadership to facilitate development of personnel in Supplier Management techniques, Engineering skills, Quality methods and concepts, and metrology expertise.
Such SQ methods may include but are not limited to Design-to-Cost, Raytheon Enterprise Supplier Assessments (RESAs), root cause analysis, supplier development on advanced IRAD programs, Cause and Corrective Action effectiveness, Quality systems (ISO 9001, AS9100), qualification of new products and suppliers, process audits and qualification, statistical process capability analysis, DFMA, DFSS, and SPC.
Supplier Quality touches virtually every program at RVS, from low-volume strategic, commercial space, and development programs to high-rate production for vehicle and portable defense systems, and therefore the position provides an exciting and dynamic view of RVS, and broad experience for the individual.

Required Skills: 8 years professional experience in engineering, supply chain, Mission Assurance or an operations environment.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Experience in inspection techniques Ability to write clear presentations and technical reports and have strong oral communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of tools including PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Excel and SharePoint (RShare). Ability to manage and develop balanced supplier relationships built on partnerships and required performance.
Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems and audits (AS9100, ISO9001) Ability to lead cross-functional teams.
US Citizen Desired

Infrared industry experience.
Familiarity with electronic assembly, mechanical, and/or optical inspection methods are a plus.
Experience developing efficient business processes.
Familiarity with Gauge R&R and its application.
Familiarity of SPC application and use of statistical process controls for process monitoring, qualification and/or design feedback.
Familiar with lean manufacturing concepts which may include appropriate application of 6 sigma techniques, DFMA, Input-output diagrams, SPC, and constraint analysis.
Experience with managing large suppliers and/or Major Subcontracts ( $50M Revenue) a plus.
Certified Six Sigma black belt or R6S Expert Ability to obtain Active Secret Clearance Knowledge of current tools and processes RCAS, IPDS, CPDM, PRISM Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Technology, Engineering, Science This position requires a U.S.
person or the ability to obtain an Export Authorization from the appropriate government agency for non-U.S.
Citizenship and ability to access to US only data systems.
