The logistics manager is responsible for all aspects of the Colorado Springs logistics operations and will manage a team that will support material receiving, material control and fulfillment, property management, packaging, shipping, transportation and freight management. The individual in this role will be required to provide data and/or metrics in support of Basis of Estimates (BOE) inputs for all Colorado Springs Logistics & Asset Management (LAM) support as well as provide reports and metrics to the LAM senior organization. Will work with Program Management to ensure that all logistics support personnel are properly trained, are knowledgeable of and comply with all programmatic and company processes and procedures. Daily interface and coordination with LAM site support, Program Management and Mission Assurance is required and is a key element to the success of the entire operation.

The position requires close interface with Program Planners and Logistics functional leadership to provide resource and capacity planning and recommended Logistics & Asset Management solutions. The individual in this position will represent LAM in meetings, program reviews and Gate reviews when required. This individual will also work closely with LAM organizational management to help develop and deploy functional strategies to drive process efficiency and accuracy throughout the Logistics process while addressing continuous improvement. These strategies must be compliant to Government regulations and in accordance with LAM and Raytheon Technologies policies and procedures. The LAM manager will provide performance and career development guidance and will foster a highly collaborative team environment while developing and maintaining a high level of morale within their team.

Required Skills:

  • Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance

  • Minimum of 8 years related experience

  • Demonstrated successful track record of managing, developing and mentoring individuals.

  • Must have demonstrated communication and critical thinking skills with a proactive approach to organizational tasks and duties.

  • Must have prior experience managing in a logistics environment with personnel management and administration.

  • Must be able to help develop and monitor key performance measurement (metrics) and prepare various logistics reports in support of internal, government, program and organizational requirements.

  • Knowledge of government contracts and FAR rules and regulations.

  • Excellent computer skills are required in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Occasional Travel may be required

Desired Skills:

  • Core knowledge of SAP/PRISM software system.

  • Previous MRP experience is a plus.

  • Front Line Leadership training and Six Sigma Specialist desired.

  • Previous experience managing in a bargaining unit environment.

  • Knowledge of Property Management in a government contractor environment.

  • Broad knowledge of Import/Export requirements and hazardous material management.

  • Experience and successful execution in supporting, reviewing and approving Proposals and Basis of Estimates (BOE) for logistics and Asset Management functions in support of program pursuits

  • Current Top Secret Clearance

Required Education (including Major):

  • Requires a related university degree (Bachelors) in Business, Logistics or Supply Chain Management or equivalent combination of education and experience (Bachelors Degree = 8 years of additional applicable experience).

This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.

The Hardware and Infrastructure organization located in Colorado Springs, CO is currently seeking a HWI Engineering Section Manager for their Infrastructure and COTS development team. The HWI Section Manager will lead a team of 15-20 HWI Engineers working a variety of development and sustainment tasks ranging from Satellite Ground station systems, electronic enclosures, chassis/rack development, system interconnections/cable design & selection, power distribution design and COTS selection, configuration and documentation. As a Front Line Leader (FLL), you will be responsible for working with other Section and Program Managers to ensure the proper staffing of the program's needs for existing operation and maintenance work as well as future proposal activities.
