Job responsibilities includes:

  • Provide proactive employee relations, manager coaching, and partner with assigned managers to create a culture that supports business growth and alignment

  • Collaborate with the Centers of Expertise (COEs) and all elements of the HR delivery model to ensure the delivery of world class HR services and programs

  • Responsible for and/or serves as a HR liaison for the following areas: succession planning, talent management, employee engagement and development, employee relations, compensation, EEO, performance management, coaching, and training

  • Partner with assigned managers and direct reports to identify top talent and succession candidates and provide support to the Management Readiness Review planning process at the business unit level

  • Manage and mentor a small HR team

Director, Tech Advisor & Strategist- HR Technology Job Description The Tech Advisor & Strategistis a Leader of Leaders responsible for developing, implementing, and sustaining the following strategic areas foundational for HR Tech Architecture, Technical Landscape, Systems Engineering/DevOps, HR Associates Experience (ie. Joining, Learning, Financial, etc.) & Product, Data Engineering & Ecosystem, Data Warehouse & Reporting/Ops, and Core Platforms & Services (incl. Workday, Microservices, etc.), success of Enabling Growth and Innovation for the eHR business: 1) Technology Strategy, 2) Operational & Engineering Excellence, 3) Communications, 4) Organizational Capability, 5) Portfolio Management & PMO Coordination and 6) Budget. As a Leader of Leaders in HR Technology operating in a central function across discrete domains for an organization undergoing and leading significant change enterprise-wide, the Tech Advisor & Strategist will be a master of leadership, storytelling and multi-level management in a matrix environment. Responsibilities Reporting to the VP, HR Technology who oversees Architecture, Engineering, Cloud and Shared Services, the Tech Advisor & Strategist will develop and lead the Strategic Planning Process (SPP), Internal & External Ops Reviews, ongoing operating processes (including KPIs & metrics) to execute predictably on HR Technology strategy, enable strategic decision making, effective execution of the strategic roadmap and Top 30. The Tech Advisor & Strategist is also responsible for developing our overall organizational capability to ensure we keep our talent engaged through action on our Big Commitments, Pulse engagement committee leadership, on-going organization communications & engagement, and identifying growth opportunities for our next generation of leaders with a focus on leveling the playing field for staff while maintaining a high bar and accountability. This leader will work with the HR Technology VP and leadership teams to create, implement and continually refine the business operating processes to drive a culture of predictable execution and deliver results - on budget, on plan. This position will have a dedicated team and will also work extensively with leaders across Shared Tech and LOBs. It is expected that this leader will be an individual who has the ability to establish rigorous processes to drive business performance. While managing the business operating processes, s/he will partner with priority owners, the PMO, and the cross functional leadership team to foster an environment of accountability, excellence, collaboration, and execution within Information HR Technology. Strategic Planning:Assist the VP and leadership team with strategic planning including financial and resource planning in collaboration with HR Technology and eHR leaders, Cybersecurity, ESM, Finance, etc. Ops Excellence & Automation Rhythms:Create and manage effective, scalable ops processes to manage operating rhythms such as internal & external ops reviews, KPIs & metrics, staff meetings, global visits, and operational excellence initiatives. Requires an ability to lead and influence to inject new operational processes to drive executional discipline and excellence. Will work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the company and customer quality. Oversee and ensure quality processes are in place for all Initiatives to enable predictable execution. Work closely with HR Technology Engineering leader and cross-functional partners to develop the technology and process infrastructure required to support Operational Excellence (e.g. process automation and workflow management, dynamic dashboards (web and mobile), multiple data input pathways (e.g. web and mobile), portfolio management & reporting tools, document repositories, etc….in service to moving quickly, consideration of all stakeholder time, agility and staying focused. Strategic Enterprise Architecture and Operational Alignment: Work closely with all business units and functions to align operations with strategy. Effect results by maneuvering through appropriate formal and informal organization channels. Influence across all levels of the organization and across organizations. Communications:Work with the leadership team to plan and execute key tech strategy and architecture destination messages and deliver to internal and external audiences with a high priority on consistent, etc. Organizational Capability: Lead the team's efforts to significantly improve employee engagement. Establish Talent Planning, Coaching, Mentoring, Shadowing, and the formation of Employee Engagement teams.
