Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a candidate to fill the position of management lead over the RF

Distribution / Printed Wiring Board (PWB) team in the Supply Chain Category Management organization in Baltimore, MD.

This position will have turnkey responsibility for managing all elements of this strategic commodity area to meet current

and future Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Sector sourcing needs. This position functions as the primary interface in

developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers within the Category. The individual provides business, technical,

performance, and strategic information to the suppliers on a regular basis and fosters business relationships to enable

key suppliers to invest in Mission Systems sourcing opportunities. Category Management establishes and communicates

supplier performance metrics (cost, schedule, technical, etc.). Additionally, Category Management, through strong

collaboration with the Mission Systems technical community, will integrate the source selection business roadmap with

the technology roadmap(s). The selected leader will interface with individual programs through the program Supply Chain

Program Managers (SCPM) to incorporate unique program objectives and information in the execution of the material

procurements and supplier management activities of Category Management.

The selected leader will oversee the management of suppliers within the respective technology; identify innovative supply

base solutions, ensure uninterrupted access to those solutions; identify, manage, and mitigate risks, negotiate terms

with the suppliers to meet program and sector objectives; ensure timely placement and receipt of program material

requirements; manage collaborative technical solutions to supply chain problems across multiple programs; synergize

business opportunities for purchase order placements across the sector; and ensure purchase order integrity and

compliance.

This position reports to the sector Director, Category Management within Global Supply Chain. The C leader will have

responsibility for an integrated, multi-disciplined team with expertise in materials management, subcontract administration,

procurement, mission assurance, engineering, and manufacturing in the execution of supply chain processes and strategy

within the technology domain.

The selected leader must have the demonstrated ability to effectively coach and mentor individual contributors from

diverse functional backgrounds; must be able to promote professional development within the organization; and

foster a cooperative culture that sustains the momentum around employee engagement, innovation, and continuous

improvement.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree 7 years of industry experience
5 years of management and/or team lead of people

Knowledge of RF / EW Systems

Eligible for DoD SECRET clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Engineering, or other related field
10 Year's Industry Experience

Current DoD TS/SCI clearance

Working knowledge of Aerospace and Defense Global Supply Chain practices

Experience in providing technical management of Aerospace & Defense supply base

VIEW JOBS 1/16/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-04-16T00:00 Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Mechanical Technology and Design Services Department (located in Linthicum, MD) is seeking a motivated Principal Mechanical Engineer or a Senior Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our high-performance team. The engineer will be supporting the design of space hardware for antennas / electro-optical sensors, sensor structures, electronics chassis, circuit card assemblies, modules, and electronic subassemblies and components. The Principal Mechanical Engineer will also be involved during all phases of space programs from inception through completion. Typical roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Responsible for understanding technical performance mechanical requirements of space program hardware or subsystems of major satellite programs to assure cost and schedule and technical performance is achieved. * Responsible for all aspects of hardware development. This will encompass all phases of design, including concept and detailed design development, documentation release, fabrication, integration, factory support and testing. * Present technical solution and technical data at milestone reviews. * Understand the integration and test process of space hardware and the special tooling that may be required. * Understand space environments and impact to space hardware. * Research and develop procedures, methods, and tools for testing space hardware conformance to documented and derived system requirements. * Sensitivity to cost, schedule and quality as well as Northrop Grumman policies and procedures is imperative. * Ability to successfully read and interpret schematics, block diagrams, sketches, oral and written instructions, manufacturer's specifications/operation manuals, and analyze hardware configurations. * Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a cross-functional team with other engineers, management and contractors. * Support program meetings in developing root cause and corrective actions. * Troubleshoot or support technicians in troubleshooting issues with hardware designs during integration and test and provide suggestions for improvement and optimization. * Verify space equipment designs and performance by making necessary calculations. This requisition may be filled as a Principal Mechanical Engineer or a Senior Principal Mechanical Engineer based on the qualifications listed below. Basic Qualifications for a Principal Mechanical Engineer: * Bachelor's degree in STEM field with 5 years of related experience or 3 years of related experience with a Master's Degree in STEM field. * Relevant space hardware design experience. * Proficiency with 3D CAD modeling. * Must possess an active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. * Must be able to obtain and maintain required Special Program Access. Basic Qualifications for a Senior Principal Mechanical Engineer: * Bachelor's degree in STEM field with 9 years of related experience or 7 years of related experience with a Master's Degree in STEM field. * Relevant space hardware design experience. * 3D CAD modeling experience. * Must possess an active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. * Must be able to obtain and maintain required Special Program Access. Preferred Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical, or Systems Engineering * Proficiency with NX * Space mechanical system design experience working with systems engineering organization * A basic knowledge of space thermal and structural analysis and circuit card design * Experience designing custom precision parts and assemblies. * Proficiency with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) * Excellent verbal/written communication skills * Experience with mechanical and/or electromechanical systems used to test hardware for a space environment.
