Selected candidate will be responsible for managing supervision and direct employees in their daily tasks to support the manufacturing and processing of products for all programs. He or She will drive initiatives to develop and improve skills of employees in the Advanced Manufacturing Center. This includes leadership team development to support succession planning, engage in community outreach, and to foster skills improvement through educational partnerships.

Manage and administer all AMC Advanced Fabrication Requests (AFR) to establish estimated completion dates (ECDs) and set program priorities and firing order. Ensure commitments to customers are met and establish meetings with customers to ensure open communication and problem resolution.

Support producibility initiatives to foster new business development. Work with GSC Program Managers to support Make Buy decisions. Work with OV manufacturing and process suppliers to improve manufacturing processes and ensure successful delivery of hardware.

Positive engagement will be required with all support organizations to get product to support all manufacturing and process functions and sustain business operations. Coordinate and manage single operation process offload to outside vendors. Develop and manage process improvement initiatives to improve performance and reduce cost. Candidate should be technically diverse in disciplines of manufacturing and assembly.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of experience in an aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing and/or maintenance environment OR High School Diploma/GED with 9 years of experience in an aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing and/or maintenance environment.

  • 3 years of leadership experience

  • Must have the ability to effectively communicate and present presentations with various levels of leadership.

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain DoD secret clearance and Special Program Access

  • Must be able to work any shift or work schedule

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems Sector is seeking a Manager Supply Chain 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse, individuals in the GSC Planning, Requirements & Delivery organization. This position will be located in El Segundo, CA. In this role, the selected candidate will be able to: * Ensure vertical and horizontal integration of Global Supply Chain Schedules through strategic planning and execution * Provide early visibility into industry constraints and supplier performance hindering our ability to meet/exceed our contractual commitments * Integrate metrics requirements for the Parts Management Integration Team * Communicate program schedule deviations and ensure all impacts are coordinated with internal/external customers prior to implementation and execution * Identify industry constraints driving schedule impacts in our supply base and incorporate mitigation plans to strategically partner with our external suppliers to be successful * Lead a team of individuals in a dynamic, fast-paced Program environment with responsibilities including rapid requirements execution, supplier delivery management and directly support the GSCPM and Program Management organizations. * Utilize Data Analytics and Metrics Reporting tools to provide Program Performance, Parts Availability and Delivery Projection data to the Program * Providing training and leadership to team of individual contributors providing visibility and being able to effectively communicate performance reporting, status, issues and corrective actions to internal management team. * Lead strategy, analysis, and coordination of change activity between Engineering and GSC's supply base to ensure an uninterrupted supply of parts in support of all requirements * Plan, prepare, issue and control proposed production schedules and coordinate changes with Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Parts Management Integration (PMI), and Supplier Management to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials is timed to meet need dates. * Oversee coordination of cross-functional activity with engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, supplier management, and goods movement to resolve schedule misalignment, business system constraints and requirement inconsistences * Oversee Configuration Accountability by maintaining SAP Material Masters to ensure data accuracy The successful candidate must be able to: * Deal effectively with competing priorities and deadlines and manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment while demonstrating a professional attitude * Demonstrate excellent business acumen, problem solving, communication and organizational skills * Lead and influence internal and external customers * Model and promote a strong sense of engagement, teamwork and cooperation The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings across all levels.
