Northrop Grumman, Logistics & Modernization Division has an opening for a Manager General Manufacturing 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Lake Charles, LA

The selected candidate has the responsibility, authority, and accountability for leading the manufacturing activities of a given cost center including quality, cost and schedule objectives, and production accountability along with other duties.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Leading/Managing variously skilled technicians and support personnel

  • Ensuring compliance to all NGC policies and procedures as applicable for operations environments

  • Providing direction and coaching to technicians and other operations personnel in the assembly and manufacturing areas

  • Ensuring team members receive the required training and prepares the daily work plans in support of overall program objectives

  • Encouraging and providing direction for career development of employees, including educational options for highly motivated employees

  • Providing leadership/direction to ensure all affordability initiatives and opportunities for process improvements are systematically identified, pursued, and supported

  • Responsibility for daily operations of a team or work unit (direct supervision of the staff, assignment of work, schedules, day to day workflow, and operating costs).

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and at least 5 years' of experience within a manufacturing environment. In lieu of formal education, High School Diploma/GED or equivalent and at least 9 years' experience within a manufacturing environment.

  • At least 3 years proven leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing or operations/assembly environment

  • Experience in the Aerospace and Defense Industry

  • Must be able to obtain a secret DoD clearance with ability to maintain.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active DoD Secret clearance with ability to maintain

  • Experience creating reports, trend analysis, policy & procedure updates, and presentations to functional & program leadership using MS Office tools - Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management

  • FAA certification Airframe and Power plant (A&P)

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is looking for a Contract Administration Manager 2. This position will be located eith in Lake Charles, LA or Jacksonville, FL. In this position, you will provide senior level pre and post-award contracts administration while also managing a group of Contract Administrator(s) within the Systems Sustainment & Software Business Unit. This position plays a critical role in the success of the organization. You will administer, extend, negotiate and terminate standard and non-standard contracts as well as be self-motivated and have the ability to handle urgent situations in a very busy program environment. You will be required to positively influence team members in order to maximize their efforts toward achieving program goals. Responsibilities include: * Conducting proposal preparation (preparing bids), contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. * Examining performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness. * Processing specifications, progress, and other reports; advising management of contractual rights and obligations; compiling and analyzing data; and maintaining historical information. * Daily operations of a team or work unit (direct supervision of the staff, assignment of work, schedules, day to day workflow, etc.) and will provide direction to subordinates, as required, using established policies and precedents. * Development and training of contracts staff. * Primary interface with Government contracting officers as well as other Government representatives relative to contractual issues. * Ensures compliant deliverables for all contracts assigned to the operational unit. The candidate may also conduct briefings for internal and external customers. Ability to demonstrate prior management of a team of contract administrators 8. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) 9. Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance Preferred Qualifications: 1. Experience with production and systems development programs 2.
