Summary:

The manager of Financial Planning and Analysis will be a key asset in the future growth of the company. This individual will be leading the FP&A Department and will be spear-heading the Company's financial quarterly forecast, annual budgeting process, operating plan variance analysis and special projects. S/he will provide financial consulting and strategic support to senior management including preparing board presentations, financial presentations, capital expenditure analysis, industry/peer group comparisons, new business opportunities, acquisition analysis and other projects requested by senior management. This function acts as the analytical engine of the company to provide insights and support 'optimal' business decision making. The direct reports to this role include two Financial Analysts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross functional team in execution of forecasts, budgets and analysis of company key Financial metrics, (Sales, Operations, Supply Chain,HR)

  • Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses and capital expenditures

  • Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance

  • Supervision of Financial Analyst(s)

  • Oversee and manage the continued development of Budgeting, Financial Forecasting, Operating Plan and Modeling tools

  • Ad-Hoc Reporting and Analysis

  • Leading the yearly budget and Medium Term Plan Process for the organization

  • Quarterly and Monthly Financial reports

  • Implement and work with a Business Intelligence Tool and Dashboard reports

  • Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives

  • Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes

  • Supporting Senior Management Team and Departments heads with in-depth analysis

  • Prepare presentations to Senior Management Team.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree, Master's preferred, with a concentration in Finance or Accounting. 5-10 years' experience in FP&A roles including cross-functional leadership role. Familiarity with the standard costing environment, variance analysis, process improvement a plus. Prior aerospace industry experience also a plus.

Language Skills

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet and Word software. Experience with Hyperion and spreadsheet server (or equivalent) reporting tools is desirable. Advanced Excel/data manipulation skills, data extract skills is desirable. Familiarity with enterprise consolidation and reporting packages (BFC) a plus.

Other Qualifications

  • Must be able to travel to US sites and internationally, as needed.

Safran Passenger Solution (SPS) is a tier 1 entity combining different business around 4 activities: Connected Cabin, Air Management, and Custom Cabin and Water & Waste systems This position will be reporting to SPS branch financial controller and will mainly consist of * Being responsible for all Safran Passenger Solution internal Budget * Will be the main focal point for all Passenger Solutions organization for all internal budget related item. First experience in finance department * Must have ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports. * Must have strong proficiency with MS Excel (i.e. V-Look Ups and Pivot Tables). * Must be able to function as part of a team Education and Experience * Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related business major with Financial Accounting coursework. Master's is a plus * Requires a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a Finance position preferably in a manufacturing environment. * Experience in the Aerospace industry a plus. * Experience with ERP systems a plus.
