Day-To-Day:

The DCP Projects Manager is responsible for the management and development of the Regional Project Engineers. He manages, reviews and jointly prioritizes the Regional O&M budget and insures that all projects are executed on time and on budget. He focuses the resources on developing and executing business expansion, DCP efficiency and reliability projects that meet economic criteria and support safety and environmental risk management objectives. Project Standards are maintained using industry and company sanctioned recommended practices in support of safety and environmental stewardship. The Projects Manager maintains a strong relationship with the Operations, Reliability, and Commercial groups and insures that their input is provided as necessary.

What You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Acting as a Safety Leader and instilling in the PE's a focus on inherent safety as part of the engineering design.

  • The Project Management process is followed at all times, this includes proper scoping, design, cost estimating, bidding, contractor selection, installation and management of O&M projects

  • Assignment, management and development of the Project Engineers

  • Providing the Project Engineers with clear direction on their projects as necessary

  • Working with Operations to insure that the assigned projects meet functional requirements and are executed in an on-time and on-budget basis with required PSM documentation

  • Participation in incident investigations, various kinds of meetings, training and commercial support

  • Bachelors in Engineering preferably Chemical and/or Mechanical Engineering

  • 6 or more years of experience in Natural Gas & NGL conditioning, treating, processing and compression

  • Project Management experience or Project Management Certification is a plus.

  • Process simulation skills on Promax and Hysys or other similar software packages

  • Competent in all Microsoft Office tools and willing to learn to use scheduling software

  • Valid driver's license and be willing to drive company vehicles

  • Great people skills with a great bed-side manner and ready to work with lots of kinds of people

Duties include the tracking and management of development agreements; the review of Plot Plans, Site Certifications, and Retention Pond Certifications; and assistance with the administration, inspection, and tracking of development project submittals. Experience, Knowledge, Skills * Associate degree in engineering or related field or equivalent work related experience desirable; * One to three (1-3) years' experience in plan preparation, review, or other development or capital improvement engineering-related experience preferred; * Valid driver's license and good driving record; * Working knowledge of intermediate mathematics (including algebra, geometry, and trigonometry), engineering instruments such as calculators, technical measuring scales, and other measuring equipment; * Experience operating computer-aided drafting and related application software (GIS and Pavement Management Software) desirable; * Technical, spreadsheet, and data base, computer programs experience required; * Work effectively with consultants, developers, other City employees, and the general public; * Good oral and written communication and time management skills. Essential Functions * Communicate orally in face-to-face one-on-one settings, e-mail and phone; * Track and manage Development Agreements by utilizing spreadsheets, GIS mapping, project tracking software, and other tools as deemed appropriate; * Markup drawings of low to moderate complexity neatly and accurately, and prepare correspondence to convey corrections necessary for compliance; * Develop and keep accurate records and perform with minimal supervision; * Read and interpret engineering drawings and documents. Manage multiple priorities and meet established deadlines; * Exercise independent judgment to achieve the greatest benefit between available time and workload. Work Environment and Physical Requirements Work Environment: * Work location is a combination of primarily office and occasional field with frequent public contact by telephone, texting, social media and in person; * May involve exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, chemicals, extreme weather conditions, and dangerous construction sites; * Frequent interaction with office and field staff. Physical Requirements: * Vision enough to interpret written documents, engineering drawings, and inspect work projects. * Communication skills to adequately convey information to contractors, property owners, other personnel, and the general public; * Mobility to inspect work sites for compliance with plans and specifications; * Manual dexterity to operate computer and testing equipment, drafting tools, calculators, and vehicles; * Strength enough to move or maneuver objects weighing up to 50 pounds for long distances.
