The EngineeringManager 3, Triton Flight Test and Engineering Site Lead is directly responsiblefor Triton Program engineering and test activity at Patuxent River MD. This includes performing modifications, ground operations, ground tests, andexperimental flight tests on three Triton MQ-4B air vehicles and conductingfull spectrum system of systems testing for the U.S. Navy. This leader will beresponsible for the direction of imbedded and travelling engineering personneland the flight test team, and will have cost, schedule, and performanceresponsibility to the Triton Director of Systems Test and Evaluation. Inaddition, this position will be the direct Northrop Grumman point of contactwith host squadron leadership and will interface with PMA test and evaluationpersonnel. He/she will drive test strategy and architecture to support majorprogram milestones. Finally, as site lead he/she is responsible for maintaininga safe work environment for all personnel, and addressing site issues andconcerns such as facilities and emergency planning.

The position isbased at NAS Patuxent River, Maryland and will require travel to other NorthropGrumman program sites.

BasicQualifications:

  • Bachelorsof Science Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM)
  • Musthave an Active DoD Secret

PreferredQualifications:

  • 15years combined experience in executing flight test and/or aircraftoperations.

  • 3year hands-on experience in a leadership role on a recent Department of Defenseflight test program.

  • 5years experience as a manager.

  • 1year experience using earned value management systems.

  • MSDegree in Engineering or Management

  • ProgramManagement or Engineering leadership experience on a large Naval Aviationprograms

  • Formalflight test training, such as test pilot school

  • Knowledgeof NAVAIR T&E processes

  • Unmannedair vehicle experience

  • ActiveDoD Top Secret
