The ManagerDigital Marketing Product Management is responsible for engaging stakeholders, prioritizing requests, and creating features and development stories. This role will be focused on outcomes and be the voice of the customer for the agile development team. In this position you will be a member of the Digital Marketing Product team reporting to the Director of Product.

You should possess strong communication skills crossing the boundaries between business and technology and able to ask the right questions. A passion for digital marketing/e-commerce and experience balancing competing priorities are essential qualities.

In this role you will be responsible for the creation of user stories and providing direction to the Agile development team. You must accept/reject the development completed and ensure the end product not only functions, but generates value and meets the needs of our internal and external customers. As part of the product team you will create the product strategy and communicate with stakeholders across the business throughout the development process.


Co-lead product strategy:

  • Define and drive the product strategy alongside product counterparts

  • Understand current product challenges and work to improve and enhance processes and the end user experience

  • Provide vision and direction to stakeholders and the development team throughout the process

Create and prioritize product development:

  • Create consumable user scenarios/stories

  • Approve acceptance criteria and completed work

  • Groom, refine, align and prioritize the team backlog

  • Apply data in making product decisions and setting priorities

  • Understand and utilize the SAFe Agile development model to drive continuous improvement

  • Coordinate development releases

  • Work with Architect(s) to identify non-functional requirements

  • Understand the perspective and role of each function in the business and evaluate competing interests in light of top-line business objectives

Communicate across various stakeholder/business groups:

  • Communicate team bandwidth and capacity with leaders and stakeholders

  • Represent the team and clearly articulate risks, challenges, and successes

  • Collaborate with the Creative team to synthesize timelines and scope for future sprints scope (legal, product enhancements, disclaimers) as appropriate

  • Collaborate with the Analytics team to understand impacts of defects or implemented functionality to inform prioritization of user stories

  • Shape and embody Charter and Digital Marketing culture and values, and instill those values in the product team and throughout the product itself

  • Ability to effectively liaise with business stakeholders and technical development teams to drive product strategy.

  • Ability to research and analyze information to provide data based evidence to justify product decisions

  • Solid understanding of the Agile framework

  • Strong understanding of technical development processes and constraints

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications or related discipline and/or an equivalent experience is required.

Related Work Experience

3+ years of product management, including extensive experience with technical side of product development process

2+ years of experience with Agile framework


  • Experience with telecommunications is a plus

  • Knowledge of cable television, high speed Internet and phone products and services preferred

  • MBA a plus
