Manage all fuel supply activities for a domestic based geographically diverse primarily natural gas fired power generation fleet

  • Responsibilities will include:
    o Manager of team responsible for Oil and Gas Commodity Accounting activities including the recording, analyzing and processing of revenue/expense invoices for multiple companies
    o review, manage and/or monitor data (Sales/Purchase invoices, transportation invoices, contracts, gas/oil balancing, sales/purchase volumes, pipeline statements etc.) from marketing operations and plant utilization
    o balancing of the fuel procurement activities of the company against monthly physical commodity results
    o management, review, and monitoring of both internal and external audits including Sarbanes Oxley compliance for the specific area of responsibility
    o lead accounting process for key account reconciliations and variance analysis to estimated results

o B.S. Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics from a 4 year accredited university
o CPA + minimum 4 years related accounting experience
o 10+ years experience in the US oil and gas industry
o Subject matter expertise in physical natural gas and oil operations including deep understanding of pipeline balancing process including physical commodity scheduling and ETRM systems
o Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management and the organization

o Proficient in information technology and computer applications. (PeopleSoft Financials, Microsoft Excel, word, etc.)
o Proven self-starter with track record of process design and improvement
o Working understanding of cash forecasting processes and ability to track and management a forecast for treasury purposes.
