Job Summary

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Clinical Nutrition Manager to join our Nutrition Team in Culver City, CA. Monday-Friday, day shift with one weekend rotation per month. The Clinical Nutrition Manager will lead and direct the functions of clinical nutrition services (such as nutrition assessment, nutrition counseling/consultation, performance improvement) and the management of the clinical nutrition team to ensure high quality nutritional care is provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establishes goals and oversees implementation of clinical nutrition care based upon facility's medical direction and patient population.

  • Hires, leads, direct, coaches, trains, and develops nutrition team members.

  • Fosters team work and establishes effective strategies to implement innovative programs which leads to optimal clinical nutrition and financial outcomes.

  • Evaluates clinical team staff according to departmental policy and takes appropriate action as necessary.

  • Monitors competency, productivity and documentation accuracy of clinical staff.

  • Assigns and directs the workload of the clinical nutrition staff. Participates in staffing analysis to ensure adequate staffing in collaboration with the Regional Clinical Nutrition Manager and/or the Director of Clinical and Wellness Support.

  • Complies with regulatory standards, including federal, state and accrediting agencies and adheres to facility confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and patient rights policies.

  • Participates in facility-wide and directs departmental Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement (QAPI) Programs.

  • Leads and/or participates in departmental meetings, staff development, and professional programs, as appropriate.

  • Reads, customizes and enforces compliance with all policies and procedures of the facility and Company as appropriate.

  • Ensures patient satisfaction, quality care, regulatory agency compliance, and good public relations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) required.

  • Three years of experience in healthcare as a Registered Dietitian, which includes managerial responsibilities required.

  • Experience with computers and programs including Microsoft Office Suite required.

Your responsibilities will depend on the program to which you are assigned, but in most cases, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary treatment team. Your key duties will include: * Providing crisis intervention, intake assessment, and psychotherapy to adults, children and/or families. * Coordinating support services to assist clients with case management needs. * Offering integrated mental health, physical health and substance use treatment that is culturally congruent with our clients' needs. * Performing extensive documentation and paperwork for DMH and other agencies and organizations. You'll work in a variety of settings, including outpatient and field-based locations (clients' homes, schools, etc.) and in an office. In this role, you will be expected to: * Perform intake assessments and formulate diagnoses and case conceptualization using a culturally competent approach. * Demonstrate a collaborative approach within a multidisciplinary team and external systems; interface and collaborate with clinic psychiatrist regarding assessment and intake. * Demonstrate the ability to utilize an integrated care approach in assessment, treatment planning and intervention. * Demonstrate competency in managing crises. * Assess treatment progress and adapt interventions as needed. * Use collaborative documentation during therapy sessions in accordance with Agency standards. * Use evidence-based practice (EBP) to formulate an initial plan of treatment; assess and monitor the condition of the client to evaluate treatment and adapt interventions as needed. * Assist with client evaluations, clinical diagnoses and case disposition. * Incorporate new technologies into treatment, including outcome measurements, to improve access, client engagement and effectiveness. * Assist with psychiatric holds for clients presenting a danger to themselves or others and/or are gravely disabled, and in need of hospitalization. * Provide some case management to include referral and linkages to internal and community support services, such as psychiatrist, primary medical care, housing, rehabilitation programs, drug/alcohol services and social activity groups. * Monitor and maintain documentation of client services; ensure compliance with Agency, county, state and federal policies and procedures, standards and guidelines. * Carry a caseload of clients and meet Agency client service expectations as assigned. * Attend and participate in Agency and program/team meetings, individual/group supervision, and related community Agency meetings as required/requested. * Maintain regular communication with supervisors and respond to emails/voicemails in a timely manner. * Demonstrate time management and organizational skills to meet Agency standards. * You may also be asked to provide after-hours on-call coverage and/or Officer of the Day duties.
