External Job Description

Position Specifics: This role will lead the Information Technology organization that builds and supports all enterprise and line-of-business specific applications with oversight and guidance of both internal IT professionals and external IT consultants working with these applications. The selected candidate must have the following:

  • Experience in a corporate IT role with at least 5 years as a technical leader (architect, lead developer, etc.).

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience as an IT leader in a service, engineering or technology company.

  • A minimum of 3 years in IT application management.

  • Successful implementation and support of enterprise tools (ERP, CRM, etc.).

  • Successful implementation and support of a BI environment

  • Experience with annual IT planning process and monthly budget/forecast processes.

  • Experience building out IT roadmaps for applications, software technologies and capabilities.

Analyzes business and technical processes to formulate and develop new and modified business information processing systems, such as production and inventory control systems, financial tracking systems, marketing and human resources systems. Represents the business unit to define requirements and business cases for the technology developments. Coordinates with business and technology teams, ascertaining system requirements, such as program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, and system techniques and controls. Requires knowledge of e-commerce tools, computer system capabilities, business processes, and work flow.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree plus 7 years relevant experience; OR Master's degree plus 6 years relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred candidate should have experience with implementation and support of Deltek tool set: CostPoint, Time & Expense, Planning and Budgeting. Implementation and support of an enterprise SharePoint collaboration environment (on-prem and/or cloud) preferred. Experience with Cognos, SqlServer and associated tools (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS) preferred. Experience as an enterprise or solution architect with an IT applications consolidation effort desired.

Position Specifics: The selected candidate must have prior experience with DoD contracting. Candidate must have proven leadership and management of multiple programs and entity portfolio. Candidate will manage and oversee all unmanned program processes, resource allocation, integration, and scheduling. Candidate will be responsible for profit and loss (P&L) achievement and management across the Unmanned portfolio. Position will be located in our corporate office in Virginia Beach, VA. Preferred candidate will possess a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA). Preferred candidate will have experience with SharePoint, MS Project, and Oracle Primavera P6. Duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following: * Lead program reviews and direct operational growth and alignment initiatives * Manage all cross program coordination * Lead new opportunity capture and proposals * Engage with customer and Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) executives at all levels * Manage complex unmanned undersea vehicle development programs * Develop and direct processes for Unmanned project management * Support bid and proposal activities * Support merger and acquisition activities * Develop, manage, and monitor Earned Value Management across Unmanned programs * Develop and manage strategic resource forecasting process * Develop monthly program review content Leads capture efforts to secure new or re-compete contracts, or task order business. Develops capture strategy including business solution for pursuit of opportunities; identifies potential customers, competitive assessments, teaming suppliers, and prices-to-win; participates in bid and proposal activities. Maintains on-going interaction with marketing. Physical requirements conducive to a normal office environment.
