Mgr Application Engineering (New Health Care Company)

The Impact You'll Make in this Role
3M's Biopharmaceutical Purification Business Unit (BPBU) is a leader in the design, manufacture, and marketing of innovative solutions for separation, clarification, and purification of biopharmaceuticals around the world. Our products are designed to address critical needs in the processing and purification of therapeutics for a variety of indications.
As a Biopharmaceutical Purification Application Engineer Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to lead and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Working in the Biopharmaceutical Purification business cross functional USAC team (including Global Key Accounts) and LATAM to drive growth through collaborations with customers and external industry experts to lead Application Engineers implementing manufacturing purification solutions based on the innovative integration of multiple differentiated 3M product platforms.
Managing and coordinating the team of Application Engineers working in product application engineering support throughout the lifecycle of the 3M product portfolio in USAC (United States and Canada) and LATAM region.
Creating strategy to leverage extensive collaborations across 3M's customer base and elevate 3M's visibility and reputation through joint publications, presentations, and industry participation.
Building and expanding best-in-class Application Engineering Team in the Americas region as part of the Biopharma Purification acceleration plan.
Working with Global Biopharmaceutical Purification business cross-functional leadership team to deploy and execute the global application engineering strategy across the biopharmaceutical customer footprint in Americas region.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a science or engineering discipline
Five (5) years of related technical experience beyond the bachelor's degree
Two (2) years supervisory experience
Two (2) years technical or business experience in a life-science (pharma, biopharma, diagnostics, analytical) market
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Master's degree in a science or engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.
Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Bioengineering, or related discipline from an accredited institution
Four (4) years experience in biopharmaceutical technologies product development, application engineering, or business role
Two (2) years experience in a customer facing role
Knowledge of USAC, LATAM and global biopharma customer base and industry trends
Demonstrated ability to work across a matrixed cross-functional team to develop, align, and execute regional application engineering strategy

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $160,284 - $195,903, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
