What's special about this job:

The Quincy Plant is responsible for the extraction and concentration of nutrients for our Nutrilite Brand. The Quincy plant runs 24-hours a day, six days a week. This role would have a shift schedule of 36-hours a week, three work days per week of either Monday

  • Wednesday or Thursday

  • Saturday, and the schedule will rotate every eight weeks. Shift schedules are from 4:00am to 4:30pm, or 4:00pm to 4:30am. As a Manufacturing Technician in the plant, you will be part of a collaborative team, learning all aspects of the plant's operations. This role will have a focused career progression with a skill development system that allows for multiple avenues to promotion.

How you would contribute to the role:

In this role, you will be primarily responsible for learning and operating equipment used to process liquid concentrate into dried intermediate product. The plant handles the extraction and concentration process - from prepping the product, to running the extraction and concentration equipment, to inline QA testing, to cleaning and sanitization of all the equipment, which you will develop knowledge around. You will assist in the documentation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), training materials, and schedules. Since this is a GMP regulated plant, it will be important to complete and maintain all required records and documentation. Over time, as you develop in your career, you will train other team members on proper standards and operating procedures, and will also provide peer reviews and feedback to team members as well.

  • Strong attention to detail/safety with a high level of accuracy, organizational, and time management skills

  • Ability to trust and follow through on commitments with team members

  • Drive to understand the root cause of issues, and develop and enhance processes

  • Willingness to adapt to different approaches, ideas, tools, techniques, and processes

  • Prior experience with manufacturing food products, troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing equipment, or working in cGMP environment is a plus

  • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.

  • High School diploma

The Maintenance team is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing facility and manufacturing related equipment at the Quincy plant. The team is comprised of highly qualified Skilled Trades employees. As an Electrician on the team, your focus will be on performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing maintenance issues, performing repairs, and being involved with installations and adjustments for manufacturing and facility related equipment. You will spend approximately 60% of your time on manufacturing equipment and 40% on facilities equipment. How you would contribute to the role: In this role, you will report to the Group Leader of the Maintenance Department, and this role will be a 10-hour shift on the 1st shift (6:00 am - 4:30 pm) on a Monday through Thursday schedule. You will have numerous responsibilities - from diagnosing malfunctions, to repairing equipment, to performing preventative maintenance and calibrations to finding root-cause solutions to problems. You will work with manufacturing, conveyor, pumping, hydraulic, and compressed air systems, as well as switchgear, transformers, distribution panels and control and alarm systems. This position will require flexibility for possible Monday through Saturday scheduling, with the department determining which days will comprise the work week based upon production and scheduling demands. This role may require scheduled and unscheduled overtime. What skills and background will be important to be successful: * Journeyman Electrician's license through the state of Washington * High School diploma and 5 years of experience performing maintenance work on production or facilities equipment * Knowledge of PLCs and PLC control applications * Ability to perform preventative maintenance, installations, diagnose and correct problems with conveyor systems, pumping systems, hydraulic systems, compressed air systems and lighting systems. * Experience diagnosing issues with IT systems is a plus.
