Responsibilities

The Materials and Fuels Complex (MFC) is seeking to hire a Laborer to support site operations. The responsibilities for this position will include:

  • Maintain facilities and grounds in a clean, safe and pleasing condition by performing duties primarily involving physical labor

  • Identify equipment and facility needs

  • Time out/Stop work, if ES&H, Quality, or Safeguards concerns exist

  • Know and comply with environmental, safety, health and radiological policies

  • Ensure safety of self and of coworkers

  • Report unsafe work conditions to immediate manager

  • Ensure that Laboratory Excellence is achieved through appropriate implementation of conduct of operations.

  • Participate in safety related processes and programs as defined by the Laboratory

Requirements:

HS Diploma

Excellent oral and written communication ability

Must be able to manage effective working relationships

Must be able to perform work on ladders, platforms and scaffolds

Selective Service Requirements

Responsibilities Provide engineering oversight and technical direction for assigned process systems and equipment which directly support programmatic work at the Materials and Fuels Complex. The process engineer is the assigned Cognizant Engineer for assigned process systems and equipment. Maintains equipment, operational procedures and oversees the operation of process equipment supporting a variety of laboratory research studies. Collects, assimilates, interprets and then reports technical data via numerous media as required to meet programmatic goals. Provides imaginative, thorough, and practical solutions to both equipment and programmatic problems and challenges. Plays a key role in defining the approach to solving technical problems that arise during the execution of assigned tasks. Acts as a team member supporting and coordinating ongoing tasks.
