METROLOGY COORDINATOR

The Metrology Coordinator will demonstrate a high level of organization and an ability to multi task customer communication, outsourcing of calibrated tools, receiving tools from vendors, communicating with vendors, scheduling of technical services, data entry, emails, phone calls and technician interface.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Communicate with internal customers about the status of their equipment

  • Communicate with vendors about outsourcing of services

  • Database entry and integrity maintenance

  • Receiving of outsourced equipment and technical documentation

  • Creation of Purchase Orders for calibration services

  • Coordinate calibration services

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a customer service role

  • Minimum 1 year experience in data entry

  • Associate's degree in business or related field

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience with Microsoft office tools

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Positive attitude maintained through trying situations

  • One year of experience in a fast paced office environment is preferred

  • Basic knowledge of test equipment and ISO quality system requirements

  • Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated and able to respond quickly to a fast-moving and ever-changing environment

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds

  • Willing to work overtime as needed

METROLOGY SPECIALIST This position has significant responsibility for the Metrology organization's operational health for processing calibrated devices. This individual will demonstrate a high level of organization, communication and attention to detail when multitasking actions with internal customers across SpaceX and a wide network external vendors. In addition, this individual is empowered to critically think and optimize operational processes. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Identify and develop robust solutions for any operational process gaps for a calibrated devices value stream. * Communicate with internal customers about the status, ownership and outsource details of their equipment. * Facilitate continuous improvement of all coordination processes for accuracy and efficiency especially relating to device information within our Metrology database. * Communicate with vendors about capabilities and time frame of outsourced equipment. * Receiving of outsourced equipment and technical documentation. * Creation of Purchase Orders for calibration services. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: * 3+ years of experience with operations responsibilities. * Associate degree in business field. PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: * Metrology experience. * 3+ years of experience in a fast-paced office environment. * Solid knowledge of test equipment and ISO quality system requirements. * Detail-oriented, self-motivated and able to respond quickly to a fast-moving and ever-changing environment. * Experience with Microsoft Office tools. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Positive attitude.
