Starting Salary Range: $46,243.00 - $55,045.00

EXAMPLES OF WORK TO BE PERFORMED:

  • Maintain accurate inventory control.

  • Maintain inventory counts through semi-annual

  • Receive deliveries and stock products.

  • Submit regular monthly reports on inventory control and usage to finance.

  • Follow financial policies to order products from vendors to assure adequate levels of inventory.

  • Collects reads for Fire Hydrant Meters and upload them for billing

  • Runs reports of water meter readings Uploads and download data from handhelds and laptops

  • Assist in closing out work orders, importing and exporting work orders from the mainframe.

  • Make accurate computer database entries of items ordered and received.

  • Receive plats from Engineering and set up account numbers and meter reading routes.

  • Maintain and perform all operations related to the AMR (Automated Meter Reading) and AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) systems.

  • Use Harmony (AMI) to run reading histories, run leak detection reports, counterclockwise reports and other reports as needed.

  • Use Harmony report to send Meter Reads to STW for billing.

  • Run reports, import, and export from MyGov.

  • Must be an effective communicator and ensure all calls for service are acknowledged promptly, and customers are informed throughout the process.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to operate PC and work using Word and Excel programs

  • Ability to maintain an organized work environment.

  • Ability to compile data to prepare reports.

  • Ability to maintain accurate, detailed records.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Class C Operators License

  • Class ll Waste Water Collection License

  • Must possess a valid Texas Driver License.

DESIRED TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous inventory experience preferred.
  • 5 years meter reading and customer service experience

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Stooping. Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires full motion of the lower extremities and back muscles.

  • Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.

  • Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.

  • Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.

  • Particularly for sustained periods of time.

  • Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward.

  • Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.

  • Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires substantial use of upper extremities and back muscles.

  • Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.

  • Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

  • The worker is required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment.
