The mail meter operator is responsible for accurately processing and verifying customer orders using the metering machine.

Schedule and Pay: The schedule is Sunday through Thursday 10 PM - 6:30 AM, The new employee will train on day shift, Monday through Friday 6 AM - 2:30 PM for two weeks. Pay is $11-12.50+DOE, $0.75c shift differential, and a $0.50c raise after 60 days.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Operate machinery used in the production process

Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards

Count finished products to determine if product orders are complete.

Record production and operational data, such as amount of materials processed.

Accurately process orders according to client specifications.

Maintain quality control and show attention to detail.

Carefully verify order before sending it to the next area.

Clean machine and surrounding work area.

Utilize physical skills and reading, writing, and math skills to meet designated production standards.

Position requires the ability to work a designated shift, and may require occasional overtime, which could include time before or after the designated shift and/or weekends.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Strong analytical problem solving skills in order to identify and resolve unique problems.

Ability to relate multiple individual processes to the overall project. Attention to detail in the individual processes is important to overall project.

Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills.

Computer literacy, including MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Outstanding administrative proficiency and customer service skills.

Ability to handle pressure of multiple deadlines while maintaining composure and professionalism.

Education/Training/Experience

High School diploma or GED, 4-Year College degree preferred (emphasis in Business Administration / Banking is preferred), previous commercial / retail banking experience is preferred.

Related experience may be a substitute for education.

Typical Duties WATER SERVICES DEPARTMENT: * Maintains and operates equipment and tools. * Performs skilled duties necessary to assist with the construction and maintenance of inlet boxes, roadside ditches, driveway pipes, storm sewers, bridges and other related areas. * Assist in the repair and installation of water and sanitary sewer lines, manholes, valves, ect. * May transport various pieces of equipment to the appropriate work site. * May transport and/or dump sand gravel, crushed rock, slate bituminous paving materials, and other related material. PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT: * Safely and efficiently operating tandem and tri-axel dump trucks on public roads and right-of-way. * Transport and/or dump sand gravel, crushed rock, slate bituminous paving materials, and other related material. * Performing daily routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment. * Performing skilled and unskilled labor functions related to road maintenance and repair. * Occasionally serving as lead person for laboring personnel. * Operating small power tools and hand tools. GENERAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT: * Performs roadside tire repairs and replacements * Tows vehicles and equipment as required to maintenance facilities * Complies with and enforces all safety policies and procedures * Participates in the on-call rotation for after hours, weekends and holiday responses * Completes work orders ensuring corrective action, materials used, man-hours and other vehicle/equipment data are properly recorded * Completes routine maintenance and cleaning of assigned equipment * Prepares vehicles for issue or disposal Minimum Qualifications Eighth (8th) grade education and verifiable experience operating gasoline or diesel-powered vehicle and/or equipment.
