Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Function)
The Metering Analyst supports and maintains the Meter Control and Inventory System (MCIS) and extracts, corrects, and presents data from the system. Metering Analyst provides supervision of Meter Technicians in the absence of Senior Engineer - Measurement.
Operates and maintains MCIS database system. (20%)
Extracts data from CSS and Data Warehouse to update MCIS database. (30%)
Runs scheduled and ad hoc reports and query updates against MCIS database. (30%)
Provides gas MCIS helpdesk support. (5%)
Operates and maintains Gas Meter Shop equipment. (10%)
Provides support to other Analysts and Meter Shop personnel - hardware & software. (5%)
Bachelor's degree and at least one year of technical experience or an associate's or technical degree and three years of technical experience or equivalent experience.
Three years of experience using Microsoft Office tools, MCIS data extraction, CSS data extraction, or other equivalent technical experience.
Communication skills to transmit information accurately and understandably in both written and verbal formats.
Coordinating skills to coordinate various work groups to solve problems.
Analytical skills to recognize patterns in data, information or events, to draw logical conclusions and to make recommendations for action.
Access and other query software skills to create and/or maintain spreadsheets and databases.
Detailed knowledge of CSS and Data Warehouse data structure.
