WMR is the Intermountain West's largest scrap metal recycler with recycling facilities located in Colorado, Nevada and Utah. Our processing capabilities include automobile shredders, balers, shears, mobile shearing, torch processing, auto crushers, extensive transportation services, and railcar dismantling.

Western Metals is currently looking for a 2nd shift supervisor for our Metals Recovery Facility in Plymouth, UT.
1.Supervise/direct work crew in the processing of scrap metal.
2.Proactively identify safety and production improvements and bring these ideas to the attention of senior management.
3.Analyze product streams and implement changes to processes based on the data.
4.Maintain daily work schedule, ensuring team carries out assignments in an efficient and safe manner.
5.Supervise, train, orient and direct staff of non-technical production employees.
6.Hands-on production to include all aspects of plant operation.
7.Interact with customers, coworkers and peers in a professional manner.
8.Motivate team members to achieve positive results. Provide regular constructive feedback to team members.
9.Work with senior management in determining production schedules to meet location-specific and overall company goals. Safety, quality and productivity are the top priorities in the decision-making process.
1.Bachelor's degree in Management, Engineering or related field preferred
2.Ability to develop and implement effective procedures to improve safety, productivity, and efficiency.
3.Ability to direct and supervise an operations team.
4.Previous heavy industrial supervisory experience.
5.Strong leadership, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
6.Computer skills including Excel, Word and Outlook.
7.Must possess excellent problem solving, organizational and team building skills.
8.Ability to work flexible hours as required to meet production needs.
9.Flexibility to work off-shift hours and travel during training.
10.Mechanically and operationally focused.
