Follow all PPG procedures and policies. Assure that the product manufactured is of the highest quality. Actively reduce rework and scrap while increasing first pass yield. Use and interpret tools and engineering drawings, blueprints, sketches, production parts, verbal and/or written instructions to accomplish assignment. Use all types of power and non-power equipment, both hand held and floor mounted to accomplish work assignments or operations. Must strive to maintain efficient team dynamics, and productively and positively work within a diverse team environment. Express and discuss job/task related concerns in a productive, professional manner. Meet daily production efficiency and ensure schedules are met utilizing TAKT time; make every effort to prevent rework or scrap; perform cleaning and housekeeping duties as required. Understand inventory accuracy and how it impacts operations. Basic use of QAD labor system is a plus.

Experience and Education
Inspect parts for defects before and after coating application.
Rework (Strip and recoat of glass, acrylic, or polycarbonate substrates). This includes the use of solvents and acids.
Secret level clearance (If required).
Trouble shooting/Problem solving/SPC.
Process variability (Ability to recognize run-to-run process variability and adjust parameters to resolve issues and maintain processes to meet specifications).
High school diploma or GED required.
Comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions.
Work with engineers as needed to support tool or process development.
Laser Machine operation.
Chamber Operation (All programs and setups, Loading/ unloading, cleaning of substrates, operating vacuum pumps, heaters, robotics, power supplies).
Maintenance/TPM of vacuum chambers and any associated equipment.
Target changes (including target depth measurements, and Gauss level measurements).
Measurement tools (including, but not limited to depth gage).
HMM-chemical inventory system (Data entry/Logging).
Understanding of basic Vacuum theory and applications.

Success Factors/Functional Competencies:
Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English. Ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels, read and interpret work instructions on work orders and documented procedures. Participate in rotating responsibilities to maintain accuracy on floor stock inventory (Kanban) that includes components, raw materials, and chemicals used for all assemblies. Able to understand customer specifications and requirements, and provide full support to achieve department Key Process Indicator targets and goals. Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs., work with some solvents and chemicals, and wear all required PPE necessary to complete work tasks. Must follow all EH&S rules and regulations at all times. Good record keeping skills are necessary. Computer experience required. Must be able to work overtime as necessary, per business needs. Must be able to work 1st shift and/or be reassigned shift if it is dictated by business needs, and any additional duties required by leadership.
