Volt Workforce Solutions is hiring an experienced Metal Cutting Saw Operator

Shift

• 12 pm

• 8:30 pm, pay rate $21.00/hr

As a Metal Cutting Saw Operator/Prepper you will:

• Operate a Doringer cold saw and a Marvel 3380A-PC3-60saw

• Program and set up a Marvel saw

• Break in saw blade

• Saw maintenance

• Sand, deburr and prep according to standards

This is a long term opportunity

The ideal candidate will have:

• Blueprint reading - finishes, tolerances and special call outs

• Fill out needed paperwork that accompanies each project. Keep a record of daily time and parts/work orders logged into each day.

• Familiar with ISO 9001:2015 and will be trained to the appropriate processes

• Cut A500, A513 & A36 steels within tolerances (saw tolerance should be within +/-.005").

• Cut stainless steel or hardened material successfully

• Cut large round bars successfully - up to Ø10.00"

• Uses the proper blade pitch for the given material & proper speeds/feeds

• Use jigs and fixtures to locate holes in tubes in preparation for mag drill

• Can sand, deburr and prep & use sand blaster to remove mill scale for welding purposes.

• Use Dial Calipers, Machinist's Square, Combination Square, level, Tape Measure

• Use pneumatic tools - air nozzles, die grinders, cut-off tools, line sander, Dynabrade Dynafile.

• Use electric tools - hand drills, portable band saw, random orbit sander, mag drill, belt sanders, pedestal disc sander, drill bit sharpener, 4.50" grinder, 9.00" grinder.

• Use hand tools - wrenches, sockets, files, hammer, transfer punches, center punches, counter sinks, Cogsdill deburr, hand deburr tool.

• Use lifting equipment and forklifts - cherry picker type hoists using adjustable chains or straps, Big Joe portable hydraulic lift, load & off load steel to & from steel racks safely, load & off load incoming trucks.

• Use hydraulic press and shear if needed, use and maintenance of tumbler

• Asks to be trained on any tools or equipment not familiar with

• Knowledge with fire extinguishers, spill containment, hazardous waste

Pay rate $21.00/hr

• Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
