Exciting Opening for Metabolic/Bariatric Medicine Advanced Practitioner (NP/PA) with Nuvance Health in Carmel, NY (90 miles from New York City)

Nuvance Health Medical Practice is seeking a full-time Advanced Practitioner (Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant) to join our new and growing Metabolic & Medical Weight Management Program in our Carmel, NY office. This program includes a Medical Director, Bariatric Surgeons, advanced practitioners, as well as dieticians and behavioral health specialists.

Our program provides comprehensive evaluations and management of obesity as a chronic disease with a focus on health and wellness. We see both non-surgical and surgical candidates pre- and post-operatively.

The ideal candidate will be a board certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with at least 2-3 years of experience in bariatric medicine, endocrinology, primary care and/or related fields. Certification in obesity medicine or willingness to obtain certification is required.

Candidate should have excellent communication skills and be able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of the larger integrated, multidisciplinary team overseeing patient care. Schedule follows standard Monday-Friday office. We offer a highly competitive compensation package and comprehensive benefits package, including allowances for CMEs and Dues.

The office is located on the campus of Putnam Hospital Center (PHC), in Carmel, New York, a 165-bed community hospital. With a staff of more than 300 physicians, PHC offers the highest quality medical, surgical, psychiatric, oncology, pediatric, orthopedic, obstetrical/gynecological, and intensive care, as well as 24-hour emergency services and home health care.
