Base Rate: $19.19 Performance Pay: Available annually New hire experience: 1% of the base hourly rate granted for each year of verified like experience (within ten years) beyond the requirement, up to a five-year maximum New hire education: 1% of the base hourly rate awarded for an AA or higher degree if not required for the position Class/Calendar:

Sick leave, holidays, matched retirement, health and life insurance OVERVIEW Mesa K-Ready Program assistant will communicate with families and work to get families registered. Working with families to get them enrolled while helping families get resources to get students ready for kindergarten. Position also works to collect resources to prepare for monthly family events.

The person who holds the position will be assisting in collecting data in many areas to assist in the development of children e.g. "What did learn the student learn" and other data points regarding education and kindergarten readiness skills. QUALIFICATIONS A minimum of 60 college credits and/or AA degree. 1-3 years' experience working with children. Previous related work experience desired for a clerical role.

Moderate proficiency in typing with good accuracy Ability to work well with diverse groups of people, good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines with minimum supervision. Computer proficiency, including basic software applications (Word, Excel, etc) and Google Suite.

Knowledge of school district policies and procedures Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct phone check-ins with families once every two weeks and connect them to resources as needed.

Maintain communication logs, documentation, and reports. Schedule and conduct pre/post screeners of students in August and April. Assist in the recruitment, registration, and onboarding processes.

Occasionally manage a booth at events in the community. Assist the teacher during classes to lead small groups, read a book etc… as needed. Develop and present a parent talk one to two times per month.

Create new relationships and maintain current relationships with community partners to continue bringing activities to the program. Attend staff meetings to brief teaching staff on any new information or updates. Get classroom and program updates during this time.

Schedule varies depending upon class times. Supervision Director of Special Education, Coordinator of Specialized Programs Clerical test administered online: Once you submit your application, a link to our on-line test will be emailed to you.

Testing takes approximately 35 minutes. (Data Entry test -10 minutes) Clerical Test required for this position: Application is considered incomplete and will not be eligible for consideration if clerical test results are not on file with Human Resources by the closing date.
