JOB SUMMARY The Quality Data Analyst is responsible for planning and conducting activities concerned with the data management and quality improvement of behavioral and medical health initiatives for MercyCare Health Plan members and providers. The Quality Data Analyst will use that information in various quality improvement projects resulting in member and provider outreach and referrals to disease and case management. Performs other duties as assigned.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Data reporting to include but not limited to:


The Quality Data analyst will# analyze, review, forecast, trend, and present information relating to clinical quality measures presented by NCQA, HEDIS, and other state and federal regulations. Design and program Microsoft Access databases to manage internal processes for data bases for MercyCare programs and provide efficiencies in work processes. Validates process improvements and integrate improvements. Gather and evaluate clinical data from the organization; analyze the data for patterns and trends in healthcare delivery. Identifies opportunities for improvement, creates and presents proposals and project plans. Select, recommend, and apply appropriate analytical and statistical methodologies and techniques to measure trends, progress, or change. Perform necessary database and statistical analyses in order to evaluate trends in process, resource utilization, and patient outcomes. Work with organizational leadership and staff to create policies and procedures that ensure good quality care and minimize harm to the patient. Collaborate with appropriate personnel within the health system in targeting data for continuous process improvement initiatives and strategies and facilitating continuous data development and enhanced reporting. Provide data analysis and review in support of performance improvement projects related to improving the health of the membership. Ability to plan process improvement proposals and project plans. Continuous Process/Quality Improvement to include but not limited to: Through the application of commonly-used improvement methodologies, concepts, practices, and procedures, improve processes while striving for cost reductions. Develop and measure standard metrics (ex: HEDIS/CAHPS), diagrams process flow to include inputs and outputs of a process as well as to identify improvement opportunities. Develop project plans for implementing improvements and monitoring process changes to ensure it works as intended. Re-engineer processes to ensure that customer needs are met and efficient processes are delivered. Daily functions include reporting on process and outcome measures, performing statistical analysis, and working with leadership and front line employees to identify improvement opportunities, to coach process changes, to implement new/improved procedures, and to sustain operational efficiencies and improved patient care/satisfaction. #Education and support to include but not limited to: Serve as technical and educational support to the users of all Microsoft products. Perform follow-up evaluations of data and organizational performance to ensure consistent improvement. Educate health plan and clinic staff to promote good quality practices and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. EDUCATION, TRAINING, # EXPERIENCE Bachelor#s degree from a four-year college or university in related field Two years of relevant experience in Access database programming One year of experience in business analysis, process improvement engineering Experience in business process management, workflow and integration methods and tools. # CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE Relevant EPIC certification to be obtained within twelve months.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in related field

Two years of relevant experience in Access database programming

Experience in business process management, workflow and integration methods and tools.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE

Relevant EPIC certification to be obtained within twelve months.
