Responsibilities and Qualifications
The Clinician reviews applicable candidates for clinical appropriateness and coordinates placement within the telemedicine program. The clinician operates in accordance with all applicable Federal, State, and Mercy rules, regulations, policies and procedures, and performs all duties assigned by the Director, in the ambulatory program, concerning patients and their care. These duties differ according to the assigned areas and range from education to care coordination.

Education & Experience:
Education: Graduation from registered nursing program and Bachelor's in nursing.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years diversified direct clinical experience in nursing required. Previous telemedicine, Internal medicine, Primary care medicine or a Critical Care experience ideal.
Must have a Missouri License or eligible for Missouri License and eligible for other state licensure.
At least (1) professional recommendations (attesting to previous experience, clinical competence, and moral character.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Work requires analytical skills and knowledge of complex medical patients, anatomy, EKG reading (etc.). Fundamental knowledge of chronic medical illnesses including but not limited to: heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, diabetes mellitus, etc.Ability to envisage patient current status by review of the patient's EMR only.Must possess excellent communication skills with patient, family, provider, and inter-department personnel by oral and written forms.Must possess interpersonal skills to interact effectively with coworkers and other Medical staff in a virtual care setting.Broad-based knowledge and clinical expertise in assessing, analyzing, evaluating, and intervening in patient care. Ability to work in stressful environment, ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, function within an ever changing environment, coordinate services for multiple patients with a variety of ages and diagnoses.Be a team leader and direct the health care needed to meet the patient needs.Must possess the ability to concentrate for long periods of time, work well under stress and be able to think and react quickly in emergencies.
