Purpose
This position is responsible for managing the assortment, assortment changes and execution of changes, building product displays and maintaining the cleanliness of the design center. This position will also be responsible for executing price changes and updating visual displays. Support cycle counts and overall inventory Management when needed. Take care of customers.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements
High school graduate or equivalent.
Minimum of one (1) year retail/showroom management experience or merchandising experience
Assortment planning experience is a plus
Demonstrated experience in, wood working, tile setting, use of power tools, use of measuring tools, use of basic tools (e.g., hammer, nails, T-square, saw, etc.)
Demonstrated proficiency in recruiting, training, sales generation, operations and merchandising
Excellent communication, delegation, follow up and analytical skills
Must possess excellent customer service skills and work well under pressure
One year of construction or building experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience enough to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.
Supervisory skills a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Willing to work retail hours to include weekends, and some holidays
Willing to adjust schedule based on business needs
Perform other duties as assigned
Essential Functions
Supporting the Operations manager in controlling the budget/P&L management
Support the design studio manager and the operations manager to ensure all store sales goals achieved
Identify opportunities to drive sales generation and ensure action is taken to achieve goals
Hold team accountable to maintaining a high level of customer contact and executing the sales process from pre-appointment/initial customer engagement through post purchase follow up
Ensure brand standards and operating standards meet or exceed company expectations to support brand consistency
Ensure store presentation standards are achieved and maintained
Conduct recruiting, interviewing and selection processes to ensure that the store is properly staffed
Monitor, maintain and follow company policies; support company expectations and systems
Handle store level human resources or loss prevention issues with Senior Director Regional Operations (SDRO), Human Resources or Loss Prevention when necessary
Perform additional managerial duties as required
Follow up on shipping and receiving per company policy
Design and Build Store product displays
Determine assortment changes in the market and make necessary changes.
Executing price changes weekly and updating signage.
Label product with sample stickers
Manage sample returns
Use email to discuss assortment changes with stores
Working Conditions (travel, hours, environment)
Minimal travel required by car
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate to noisy.
Physical/Sensory Requirements
Physical Work - Ability exert 30 - 60 pounds of force occasionally, and or 20-30 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
