As a Merchandising Optimization Specialist, MakerPlace, this role will partner to scale MakerPlace from its nascency to a fully operating and optimized business unit. Because MakerPlace is still a startup, this role will be dynamic and evolve as the business unit matures & evolves. As such, a self-starter with comfort in ambiguity will thrive.
Major Activities
Direct responsibility for the development and execution of site strategies that align with the eCommerce goals.
Collaborate with Marketing, Content, and Product teams to create site experiences for campaigns, product initiatives, tests, and always-on programs, ensuring accurate messaging, timing, and capabilities needed to execute.
Analyze and monitor page performance and user behavior across site landing pages, generate data-driven hypotheses that inform strategies, and uncover areas of opportunity to improve the customer experience.
Develop a deep understanding of MakerPlace site visitors through data, insights, and cross-functional partnerships (Analytics, Product, Growth teams) and use those insights to inform site strategy.
Collaborate with SEO teams on initiatives and content opportunities that improve website visibility and performance.
Work closely with the Site Merchandising Manager on digital advertising execution and implement online marketing strategies and integrations to improve e-commerce performance and exceed digital KPI targets.

Minimum Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Business, Marketing, Communication, or related field required, or equivalent experience.
3+ years experience in site merchandising, e-commerce, business development, Digital Marketing, or equivalent.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Strong customer obsession focused on building the right site experience for our customer.
Experience using reporting tools (SQL, Looker, etc.) is a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint or equivalent Google Suite applications.
Strong understanding of trends and cultural environment.
Collaborative, inter-personal, self-starter with a "can-do" attitude
Ability to think creatively, strategically, and technically.
Resourceful self-starter who works well independently and as part of a team and can adapt quickly to changing priorities.
