Job Description
Green Rabbit (Recently acquired by Vistar; a Performance Food Group Company) is the trusted cold chain logistics provider for fast, safe, sustainable fulfillment and delivery of perishable goods and groceries. The company's proprietary technology automates and manages the entire supply chain process to ensure that heat-sensitive items are delivered fresh, cost-effectively, and environmentally conscious.
The Merchandising Manager owns the product lifecycle of new items, supports in the management of vendor relationships, and is a critical stakeholder in digital merchandising strategy for key customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in developing and maintaining vendor partnerships, including item-onboarding, operational set-up, and helping to develop programs
Gain an understanding of Green Rabbit's systems and processes for new items up
Coordinate the process for new brand/new product reviews
Own the new item set-up process; both from an operational perspective and in conjunction with digital content specialist for customer portals
Participate in assortment decision-making with vendor relationship manager and present to business unit managers
Maintain new merchandise samples and coordinated for photography
Communicate with the procurement team to ensure inventory is available at time of launch
Utilize relevant analytics, category, competitor, and customer data to evaluate item performance and maximize Green Rabbit assortment across all customers
Curate a best-in-class e-commerce shopping experience within assigned categories
Assist with creating and developing new products including, snack boxes, kits, bundles and seasonal items.
