Please visit our website at: http://www.thepicgroup.com www.trigo-group.com The Quality Engineer - Field Support position includes serving as the Supplier Quality Engineer for suppliers in the selected candidate's geographical area. This position will provide guidance to the supplier's executive team and leadership, coaching, & mentoring to the Supplier Quality Engineering team. Duties will include ensuring suppliers, coordinate, monitor and follow-up on supplier-related issues, collaborating with supplier to solve technical and contractual issues, and ensuring the team activities are directly aligned with achieving quality and affordability goals set by the customer. This will be accomplished through effectively analyzing performance data, identifying issues, driving supplier improvement planning at the supplier, and executing systemic root cause and corrective/preventive action plans. Job Description: * Implementing, monitoring, approving and/or closing FAI approvals, sampling plans, and projects in the supply base. * Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of relevant procedures/requirements is necessary. * The SQE will own/participate in process, procedural and standard work development and updates. * The SQE will have the opportunity to identify an area of improvement within the organization and hold an event to solve the problem. * Analyzes current functions to develop creative and innovative solution to business needs. * Consults with product manager and SME's to identify and document general business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, and security requirements. * Possesses a solid understanding of the overall role of the Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE). * Provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures. * Provide leadership and direction to suppliers to ensure compliance to QCD (Quality, Cost, and Delivery) performance process requirements, and maintains up-to-date knowledge of general standards and regulatory requirements. * Coordinates and facilitates meetings as needed. * Implements system solutions and provides product demonstrations and training internally and with clients as needed. Basic Qualifications: * Bachelors' degree in science, engineering, technology, or mathematics and 14 or more years of professional related work experience; or master's degree in science, engineering, technology, or mathematics and 12 or more years of professional related work experience. * Experience with airframe * Root Cause & Corrective Action experience. * Requires use of personal computer. * Experience developing successful performance improvements. * Experience identifying and engaging relevant stakeholders for collaboration. * Experience working independently and with minimal supervision. Desired Skills: * 3 years of experience in performing the SQE roles and responsibilities of supplier oversight and product acceptance. * 5 years of experience in field of quality science and/or quality engineering. * Familiarity with Tooling concepts and their use in the manufacturing and inspection of product. * Work related experience with planning and executing AS9102 FAI based requirements. * Experience with SQM tools and processes. * Experience developing plans for acceptance testing, inspections, and sampling. * Understanding and experience with AS9100 based Quality Management System (QMS). * Understanding and experience with AS9145 Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP). * Experience coaching or leading others. Required Education (including certifications): * Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a technical discipline, (i.e., Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Quality Management, etc.). * OR In lieu of a Degree, 8+ years of hands-on experience as a Quality Engineering in an Aerospace Manufacturing environment.
