Merchandiser Stocker in Dearborn, Allen Park, Southgate, and Flat Rock

The Merchandiser is responsible for providing high-quality merchandising support for Keurig Dr Pepper Inc brands to retail stores within an assigned territory.

Position Shift and Schedule

This is a full time permanent position working 1st shift typically five (5) shifts per week to include Saturday and Sunday. Days off will fall during the week. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays is required as scheduled.

Position Compensation

The starting rate of pay for this position is $13.00 per hour plus mileage reimbursement for the use of your personal vehicle between the first and last store on your assigned daily route. Attractive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, etc).

Position Territory

You will be stocking and merchandising our products in our customers' stores located in Dearborn, Allen Park, Southgate, and Flat Rock. We have a local branch located in Detroit, MI that you will need to visit for orientation and scheduled meetings.

Position Responsibilities

  • Merchandise store shelving, coolers and displays with Keurig Dr Pepper brands in retail stores.

  • Partner with Sales Representatives/Managers to coordinate delivery and merchandising schedule.

  • Build effective relationships with store personnel to assure superior customer satisfaction.

  • Identify incremental sales opportunities for Sales Representative to pursue.

  • Provide feedback on competitor activities and best practices.

  • Cover routes and provide sales and/or merchandising services as assigned.

  • Available to work weekends and holidays.

The employee will work approximately 28 hours per week, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF WORK: The employee is responsible for assisting in the operation of a computerized, automotive stockroom, ordering, storing, inventorying and issuing parts, accessories and materials required for the maintenance and repair of municipal vehicles and equipment in a centralized automotive garage. Responsibility includes operating data terminals required in maintaining a computerized inventory system. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Essential Job Functions (Functions essential to attaining job objectives): * Assists the lead worker in the operation and maintenance of an automotive stockroom. * Orders, stores, issues and inventories automotive parts, accessories and materials in a centralized stockroom. * Operates data terminals as required in the maintenance of a computerized inventory system, including storing, retrieving and processing inventory and related data. * Checks immediate needs, locates sources of supplies, picks up parts needed for emergency repairs; operates a motor vehicle as required for picking up parts. * Sends out parts to be repaired; contacts departments regarding units in need of repair when parts arrive. * Assist the lead worker in performing a complete, periodic physical inventory of all stock on hand, as well as maintaining up?to?date, continuous inventory records. * Checks orders for accuracy, and places parts in stockroom or assigns to proper vehicle repair. * Maintains a neat, clean, organized stockroom. * Keeps records of parts used on equipment and cost thereof. * Transporting vehicles/equipment to and from various city/vendor locations. * Ability to lift and carry objects of various sizes and dimensions weighing as much as 75 pounds * Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS * KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: * Working knowledge of the various units of automotive equipment. * Working knowledge of the parts and materials used in the repair and maintenance of automotive and heavy equipment. * Working knowledge of stock-keeping and inventory methods, including computerized inventory systems. * Ability to assist the Auto Stockperson in operating and maintaining the automotive stockroom efficiently and effectively. * Ability to maintain related records and reports and to operate a data processing terminal. * Ability to read and comprehend parts orders, manuals, catalogs, inventory records and data terminal instructions. * Ability to work harmoniously with other employees and the public. EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING/LICENSING REQUIREMENTS Some experience in the operation of an automotive stockroom, including the operation of a computerized inventory system, or an equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, abilities and skills; graduation from an accredited high school or G.E.D. equivalent.
