Merchandiser in Southfield, Livonia and Farmington

The Merchandiser is responsible for providing high-quality merchandising support for Keurig Dr Pepper brands to retail stores within an assigned territory.

About the Role

  • Merchandisers are responsible for stocking and displaying our products on shelves/coolers at large accounts within a set territory.

  • They will report directly to their assigned stores for their scheduled shifts and may be required to cover routes as assigned.

  • Merchandisers are required to use their personal vehicle to travel among stores in their territory; however, they are not responsible for transporting our products. Our products will be delivered in advance to the stores.

  • A company-issued phone will be provided with a programed app to clock in and out for scheduled shifts and to track mileage for reimbursement.

Shift and Schedule

  • Full-time

  • 7:00am until work is finished

  • 5 scheduled shifts per week

  • Weekends required (days off fall during the week)

  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed

Compensation and Benefits

  • $14.85 an hour - overtime over 40 hours

  • Mileage reimbursement for the use of your personal vehicle

VIEW JOBS 10/9/2020 12:00:00 AM 2021-01-07T00:00 The Merchandiser is responsible for demonstrating merchandise through knowledge of products and specifications and answer questions for the purpose of creating public interest in buying products. Position requires traveling up to 1,500 miles per month. NOTE: CBBC is a Drug Free Workplace. The Merchandiser position is based in Orlando Florida. Physical Demands and Work Environment: Physical demands: sitting; standing; walking; talking; hearing; listening; prolonged viewing of computer monitor; use hands and arms in reaching, handling or manipulating objects or controls; occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Work environment: indoor work environment; minimal noise level. Candidates must consent to and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check and credential verifications as conditions of employment. Duties: * Responsible for an assigned Service Route (routes are changed as needed by management). * Visits multiple stores on a daily basis and provide excellent customer service to all customers. * Must use an item scanner to process all orders. * Must acquire product knowledge for private labels as well as national brands and any product that CBBC supplies to the stores. * Reviews product that is approaching expiration dates and suggest promotion to sell product prior to expiration. * Assure cooler/freezer cases are clean and neatly organized with no empty spaces. * Reports any defective product upon receipt to the store. * Determines schedule by reviewing priorities with supervisor, discussing special instructions, product promotions, new products, and price changes. * Maintains customer relationships by visiting with store managers, department managers, and employees; answering their questions; responding to special requests; describing product features. * Maintains store shelves by observing displays of company products; removing damaged or freshness-dated products; tidying store shelves; providing optimum display of products. * Maintains inventory by restocking shelves with product from inventory; observing inventory levels; prompting store management to reorder when levels appear low; arranging for return and credit for damaged products. * Ensures store profitability by observing competitors product pricing and maintaining store pricing. * Assist sales representatives/account managers with special promotions by setting up displays; regularly checking special promotions; observing customer reaction to special promotions; forwarding observations to management; removing promotions at end of the special promotion period. * Provides information by reporting growth, expansion, or closing of supermarkets in assigned territory. * Reliable, consistent attendance is a requirement and essential function for this position. * Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: * Associate Degree in Business or related field and 0-1 year work experience OR High School Diploma/GED and one (1) year merchandising work experience. * Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. * Good organization skills - prioritize work assignments and manage work time. * Basic skills in computer operating systems and software programs Preferred Qualifications: * Two (2) years work-related experience, skills and knowledge, preferably in food industry. * Bilingual in English and Spanish.
