Position Summary

The Merchandiser/Installer will be responsible for providing merchandising and installation services to our clients. They will take direction from an on-site lead and install new fixtures and merchandising products in new and remodeled store.

The job responsibilities for this job will vary. The following list provides an outline of the typical duties for project work; specific duties related to each project will be provided prior to the scheduled date.

PROJECT DATES ARE: 10/22 & 11/12

Flat Rate Per Day $112.00

Essential Job Responsibilities

Review project packets prior to all assignments for details of what each project will entail

Participate in any project specific training prior to arriving at the retail location to perform the work

Follow the direction of the Team Lead to complete all assigned tasks (e.g. cleaning shelves/placing products, building and installing new fixtures, setting up merchandise, cleaning and prepping the work area, etc)

Review project packets prior to all assignments for details of what each project will entail

Participate in any project specific training prior to arriving at the retail location to perform the work

Complete all assigned tasks (e.g. cleaning shelves/placing products, setting up merchandise, cleaning and prepping the work area, etc)

Complete service calls for assigned retail stores when scheduled.

Understand and maintain product area plan-o-gram integrity.

Replace and maintain vendor POP as needed.

Ensure product area is clean and well maintained, according to retailer specifications.

Complete minor plan-o-gram changes, as required.

Assemble and install fixtures, displays, and merchandise

Assist in plan-o-grams/ configuration and set ups

Assist with store remodels, renovations, and resets

Assist other employees with assigned tasks

Report issues that arise during the project to the assigned Team Lead

Maintain a positive working relationship with all store employees and customers

Responsible for logging billable time via a call-in or online system; will be required to log arrival time, all break, and departure time


Must have excellent interpersonal and customer support skills

Must be able to read and understand plan-o-grams

Must have good written and oral communication skills

Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license and auto insurance, daily access to the internet, and basic tools

Must be able to work independently or as a member of a team

Must be 18 years or older

May be required to acquire certification to operate machinery (e.g. forklifts)

Work Environment/Physical Demands

Stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, and squatting for extended periods of time

Lifting, pulling, and pushing materials and equipment

Lifting 50lbs of weight (frequently)

Precarious or high locations may be required; will be required to frequently climb and descend ladders

Will be using basic tools (e.g. hammers, box cutter, screw drivers) that will require the full use of hands/fingers to operate

Responsibilities * Read and follow a plan-o-gram to effectively complete reset and remodel work. Have a working knowledge of merchandising and retail terminology. * Perform duties such as moving and cleaning shelves, installing new racks and shelves, displaying merchandise properly, placing shelf strips and attaching tags properly, checking date codes and plan-o-gram integrity, and processing packouts, restocks and reorders as necessary. * Assist in gathering and moving materials, supplies, fixtures and equipment necessary for the assigned set work. * Partner with store personnel and co-workers to achieve and maintain merchandising excellence, discuss changes, and build an effective working relationship. * Report and discuss observations and issues with Mandate Senior Area Manager/Mandate Area Manager. * Effectively and accurately work with web based applications to indicate work availability, check schedule for work assignments, accept work assignments, receive work documentation and information, record work start and completion times, record work mileage, record work expenses, record work time and attendance, and complete training activities. * Effectively and accurately prepare, process, submit, and manage documentation related to assigned reset and remodel work. * Perform job safely by demonstrating full awareness of his/her surroundings. Utilize proper safety techniques and equipment use when necessary. Be proactive in alerting management to any unsafe act or condition to prevent injuries. * Perform other duties as assigned. * Understand and follow all Acosta policies and standard operating procedures. Qualifications * At least 1 year of Customer Service experience preferred. Prior sales agent, retail and reset responsibility experience preferred. * Strong demonstration of the following core competencies: Quality Commitment-Maintain quality standards that meet and/or exceed expectations Detail Oriented- Ensure work accuracy Customer Service-Provide a level of service to customer concerns Communication Skills-Ability to communicate effectively * Must be comfortable utilizing Technology (i.e. smartphones and handheld devices) * Must be able to lift and carry individual cases of product, shelving, or displays of up to 60 pounds. * Must be willing and able to work in cold environmental conditions (i.e. refrigerated and freezer sections of retail stores) for limited periods of time. * Must be able to operate or learn how to operate a computer, calculator, fax machine, telephone, paper cutter, copier, hammer, screwdriver, drill, case cutter, hand truck, and pallet jack. Must be able to climb and stand on a step stool or ladder. * Must possess strong interpersonal, organizational, decision making and leadership skills. Must be able to read and communicate effectively with others. * Must have access to the internet on a daily basis. Must be able to work effectively in web based applications, email applications, and word processing applications. * Must have a valid driver's license and be able to drive in a car for extended periods of time.
