Merchandiser - Ecommerce

Job Summary

The Ecommerce Merchandiser will be responsible for developing and implementing online merchandising strategies to achieve our online sales goals. This role requires a combination of data analysis, strategic thinking, and creativity to drive customer engagement and conversion.

This position is required to report to the SHI Austin, TX or Somerset, NJ office location as determined by SHI management.

Responsibilities

• Execute online merchandising efforts such as product categorization, search strategies and product content

• Manage and launch digital content such as Homepage and category page assets

• Work collaboratively with the UX/UI, Marketing and Dev teams to get the appropriate marketing messages, products, categories, and landing pages uploaded to the site, adjusting quickly for promotions

• Maintain correct product assortment and adjust daily/weekly according to business needs

• Monitor and conduct site audits and analysis for accuracy

• Work closely with agency partners on SEO/discoverability strategies and tactics

• Analyze data daily to optimize the customer experience and make suggestions/take action to improve KPIs such as conversion rate, average order value, and customer frequency

• Be a category expert and "go to" person by their cross-functional partners

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Marketing, Management, Business Administration or other relevant area.

• Minimum 3-5 years of B2B/B2C eCommerce merchandising, including expertise in product categorization, search strategies, and product content management.

• Minimum 3-5 years experience working with Google Analytics, Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and Power BI

• Data Analysis and Optimization - ability to speak to your proficiency in analyzing data to optimize the customer experience and key performance indicators (KPIs) such as conversion rate, average order value, and customer frequency

• Experience and familiarity with eCommerce platforms and CMS systems (e.g. Shopify, Magento, Salesforce Commerce, etc.)

Required Skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge

• Ability to work cross-functionally across teams in a collaborative manner

Unique Requirements

• Travel as needed based on business needs and determined by SHI management.

Additional Information

• The estimated annual pay range for this position is $70,000 - $125,000. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual.
