Position Purpose:

Responsible for the efficient execution of merchandising items to ensure with consistency in product sets and signage displays across a group of stores. Accountable for a reduction in time spent on merchandising processes due to an increased familiarity of sets.

  • Good knowledge of the store product and strong merchandising and organization skills.

  • Access to reliable transportation, proper liability insurance

  • Move merchandise up to 50 pounds

Supervisory Responsibility


Work Environment

The nature of the job requires daily travel to various stores, with overnight stay possible for remote locations. Duties may include bending, stooping, lifting (50 lbs), standing, walking and fixture building. Associate may be expected to occasionally use a hand-held tool such as a hammer or rubber mallet to perform a task.

Education and Experience

Minimum high school diploma (its equivalency i.e. GED) or the equivalent work experience. A qualified applicant will be required to demonstrate proficiency in the areas of mathematics, and above average communication skills.

We are looking for a creative, operations-minded Marketing Merchandise Ops Program Manager to create and effectively track and distribute memorable, high-quality Samsara physical merchandise at scale to improve our employee and customer experiences. The right candidate is a strategic thinker and operator that acts as a creator and steward of the Samsara physical brand–ensuring high quality merchandise is created and reaches the right person, at the right time. This role will have a direct impact on Samsara's culture and success. In this role, you will: * Operationalize and manage the Samsara merchandise program: budget, forecasting, new merchandise ideation and creation, building ordering processes and architecting and deploying a scalable, systematic distribution system for our 150+ products across 15+ teams and 5+ locations * Ownership of tracking and distribution of Samsara merchandise in partnership with our full-time merchandise contractor and our internal point of sales (POS) system: maintain an accurate inventory of all merchandise on- and off-site, training on-site 'swag store staff', ownership of a seamless, futuristic employee experience at all Samsara office 'swag stores', and fulfillment of all internal and external merchandise orders * Craft unique and high-quality merchandise for initiatives like product launches, customer summits, partnership and recruiting events, and customer holiday gifts * Partner with recruiting, people operations, customer marketing, events, and sales to find new ways to use merchandise to enhance experiences, mark milestones, and drive loyalty * Act as the steward to the physical Samsara brand and ensure global consistency through methods like the creation of merchandising guidelines, internal merchandise reviews, and physical brand office hours An ideal candidate has: * 2-3+ years of experience in operations, consulting, marketing, or events * Outstanding project management and organizational skills and an ability to prioritize and execute against many workstreams simultaneous and seamless–often balancing 10-20 projects at the same time * Systems and architect thinker that loves building and executing the perfect process * Problem solver that uses data to drive decisions * Strong creativity and an eye for quality * Detail-oriented, high-energy, positive disposition and excellent communications skills * Bias-to-action and focused on results * Experience working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment with multiple vendor relationships * Intermediate Excel skills * Bachelor's degree or higher At Samsara, we welcome all.
