Balfour Beatty Construction, in Charlotte, North Carolina is seeking an MEP Manager. The MEP Manager defines the MEP execution process, oversees all MEP work on a single, large construction project.

Essential Functions

  • Approve all MEP and Commissioning schedules.

  • Assist with the preparation of the GMP.

  • Supervise MEP subcontracting strategies and originate Scopes of Work for MEP bid packages and equipment.

  • Negotiate pricing and change orders with contractors and equipment manufacturers.

  • Perform MEP constructability (IDC+) and coordination reviews of contract documents.

  • Provide guidance and approve the MEP Contractors schedule of values.

  • Define best approach for MEP buyout.

  • Ensure timely and proper execution of the MEP Coordination Process (BIM).

  • Create a project specific MEP quality plan and verify its proper execution.

  • Perform site inspections for MEP compliance with contract documents.

  • Establish and implement controls to identify and correct negative trends affecting the CX program.

  • Communicate with the owner/owner's representative on a regular basis to understand expectations and ensure customer satisfaction.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field required.

  • Ten years or more of experience in Construction/MEP Coordination/Preconstruction.

  • General understanding of Building Codes, Mechanical Codes, Electrical Codes and Plumbing Codes as they relate to construction of project.

  • General knowledge of construction principles/practices required.

  • Experienced dealing with MEP subcontracts and subcontractors.

  • Management of the MEP systems including buyout of subcontracts, management of the material procurement, coordination of all MEP systems, Quality control plans as well as QC inspections, oversight and leading commissioning efforts with owner commissioning agents.

They may be accountable for an effective partnership between the Line of Business and the Lines of Defense. This individual will lead and manage the Onboarding & Alerts team of analysts for the Customer Due Diligence Operations Center (CDDO). Partners and communicates across the CDDO team, BL Financial Crimes Compliance (FCC) teams, CQA, CAS and regulators. This position reports directly to the CDDO Director of Production. Job Responsibilities: Incumbent has an advanced to expert understanding of applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends that impact their assigned line of business. Job scope and complexity of assigned business is specialized and complex. They interact regularly with senior management and possess advanced relationship and negotiation skills. This role has an advanced understanding of the business line's operations, products/services, systems, and associated risks/controls. They may be responsible for leading reporting, testing/monitoring, and exception/resolution activities. They manage a team of RCA Consultants, including staffing, performance management, prioritizing, guidance and training. Incumbent has a bachelor's degree, applicable certifications and at least ten years applicable experience. The Onboarding & Alerts Senior Manager has direct responsibility for a team of employees to perform the following key responsibilities: * Manages daily Onboarding & Alerts volume to ensure reviews are completed timely and in accordance with the Enterprise Financial Crimes Compliance Know Your Customer Policy and operational procedures * Ensures the active identification, response and / or escalation of risks as appropriate * Coach and develop the O&A team through the use of QC feedback and scorecards to address systemic issues or individual analyst performance. * Ensure O&A analysts have documented development plans * Participate in the development of customer risk specialization teams to mitigate and manage customer AML risk * Implement customer risk specialization teams across O&A function * Lead or participate in the design, development of career paths to enable opportunities within the Customer Due Diligence Operations Center and across Enterprise Program Services * Influence operational process designs and procedures that will drive operational efficiencies while maintaining effective risk management * Provide daily, weekly and monthly reporting of O&A activity to demonstrate reviews are performed in a timely manner.
