Menu Technician

Job Overview:

The Menu Technician is responsible for taking patient meal orders from our patients, and assisting patients with their menu selections. Will be responsible for maintaining patients Room Service card files. Other job related tasks as needed. Communication with other hospital disciplines is necessary. The candidate must have excellent customer service.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Excellent customer service skills

• Speak and understand english

Preferred:

• Food Service experience

• Scheduling Requirements:

• Shifts Vary

• Weekdays/Weekend Rotations/Holidays

• Per Diem

Essential Functions:

• The Menu Technician assists the department in all clerical functions for patient meal service through accurate menu processing and assisting patients with menu selections. Maintains the Room Service computer system so that patient files are updated with appropriate dietary information according to physician order. Demonstrates skills necessary to coordinate menu selections for pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatric patients.
