Salary: $21.19 - $26.27/hourly

  • Hourly rate is inclusive of a $1.00/hr. salary stipend and a $1.00/hr. direct care stipend. Applicants with Certified Nursing Assistant ("CNA") certificates, and who are on the State's CNA registry, will be paid an additional $.50/hour.

  • Additional shift differential 45¢/hour while working 2nd shift hours

  • Additional shift differential 55¢/hour while working 3rd shift hours

  • Additional weekend differential $.60/hour while working weekend hours

Riverview Psychiatric Center, in collaboration with the community, is a center for best practice, treatment, education and research, for individuals with serious, persistent mental illness, and co-occurring substance use disorders. Job duties:

We believe each staff member plays an integral role in meeting our mission to provide the highest quality of care possible. Riverview Psychiatric Center seeks Mental Health Workers to provide paraprofessional support work involving the direct care, rehabilitation, and behavior modification of patients in state institutions. Responsibilities include implementing programs in the treatment and education of individuals with mental illness, providing direct patient care, and maintaining patient areas. Employees may act as group leader of primary aide over an assigned group of patients. Work is performed under general supervision.

Riverview Psychiatric Center is located on the Kennebec River in Augusta, Maine. Augusta is Maine's capital city located one hour north of Portland, an award-winning city with excellent cultural opportunities and two and a half hours north of Boston. Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent and two (2) years of direct care mental health experience.
