Provides therapy to clients referred for outpatient and behavioral health services. Participates as a member of a multidisciplinary team to provide continuity of care for patients attending outpatient programs.
Maintains accountability for own care to assure adherence to ethical standards. Consistently utilizes a holistic approach (considering physical, psych/social, spiritual, educational, safety and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients served in assigned service area.
Provides individual and group therapy utilizing a variety of treatment modalities. Assumes responsibility for maintaining professional and clinical expertise.
Provides education/information to patients, families and referral sources
Helps develop treatment plan options with multidisciplinary team during clinical staffing to align patient needs with available community resources.
Master's level graduate in counseling, social work, psychology, family therapy or related behavioral health field.
One year experience as therapist/counselor.
Mental health experience preferred. Experience appropriate to the age of the patients served in assigned area preferred.
Independently licensed as the Master's Level. Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
Requires ability to read, assimilate and synthesize information to make patient care decisions. Must be able to perform with proficiency, independently and have good communication skills.
Must possess the ability to make competent decisions in stressful situations. Able to perform dictation.
Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.
