Roxbury is a 112-bed behavioral healthcare facility located in Shippensburg, PA. Our 52-bed acute adult and adolescent psychiatric units treating individuals with mental illnesses who need short-term hospitalization. In our 60-bed chemical dependency unit, detoxification is conducted under close medical supervision for adults dealing with substance abuse issues.
Roxbury is currently recruiting full and part-time Mental Health Technicians to work on our acute psychiatric units - all shifts available. Shifts are mostly 12-hour shifts and include weekend rotation. We also have PRN positions available for flexibility in scheduling around your other full-time job or school schedule.
The Mental Health Technician provides direct patient care under the supervision of the Nurse Manager or a registered nurse. Primary responsibilities include the provision of a safe and therapeutic milieu, crisis intervention, and activities of daily living.

High School Diploma or equivalent required; associates or bachelor's degree in a mental health, psychology, or related field preferred.One to two years experience in facilitating groups with variety of developmental ages (Child, adolescent, adult and geriatric) preferred. Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, impeccable judgment and professionalism, and the ability to maintain composure in a crisis situation.
