Responsible for direct patient care, including assistance with activities of daily living, and performing routine technical nursing assignments
Job Responsibilities Include but are not Limited to:
Assists in assessment, planning, and implementation
Recognizes mental and physical indicators.
Signs and symptoms of drug/alcohol withdrawal are recognized.
Performs special functions as required (ex: feed and bathe geriatric patients).
Non-violent physical and/or verbal interventions techniques are utilized on patients exhibiting violent or other inappropriate behaviors.
Patients and rooms are searched regularly for contraband.
Patient behaviors are accurately assessed, reported, and documented.
Collects vital signs data and immediately reports significant findings to charge nurse
Required Job Qualifications Include:
Minimum of one year experience in psychiatric setting.
certification as Nursing Assistant preferred
Current BLS Certification
CPI required 30 days after hire.
Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
